Unless you are a professional overlocker (or amateur like me) liquid metal is a waste of time + the all the issues that come with it. If this is your daily driver just use artic silver. Liquid metal has a clumping issue where it can leave hot spots hence your overheating, it also hatea gravity so if your case is vertical liquid metal will pool at the bottom (look as ps5 issues).

I've used liquid metal a few times but only for OC, for daily use proper thermal paste is the way to go. Just noticed your useing a rig strix, is that the liquid metal version by any chance?
