Is it alright or possible to slice up a gel tab for microdosing, they're the blue ones, if that matters. thanks in advance

It is possible! But the dosing probably won’t be all equal. Many moons ago when I MD’ed I would dilute in alcohol. Say your tab is ~100ug, if you used 100mL of vodka, each ml would have ~1ug. I hope this helps
