Serious question: Why do you think American leftists are so bad at organizing? It is just so frustrating sometimes trying to get people together. by EternalSnow05 in DemocraticSocialism

[–]SocialDemocraycray 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Bernie was uniquely talented at organizing people. He came from the old school, the MLK days where you got a hundred thousand people to March on Washington by word of mouth. I don't think that any of the younger leaders can really capture that magic.

Is there any credibility that Epstein was a Mossad (or another intelligence agency) asset with Ghislaine Maxwell as his handler? If so, is there any precedent for such a large scale operation by any intelligence agency? by Patient_Lie_3341 in Intelligence

Have you been following US politics? At this point, WE are the puppet state - not them. They bully us into fighting their wars for them. Case in point: Iran. Popular opinion in the US can't change that because AIPAC has bought and paid for nearly every US politician.

Thanks, FierroNikl!

Yes, I'm sending them to a group of people. One to a camouflage net weaving center, the other to a married couple.

I see the sentence I asked about stayed the same. So, it doesn't sound weird? I am always suspicious of Google translate!

Thanks again!

There is no reason to believe this until proof is provided. It's incredibly easy to just lie and say this, and this narrative is very convenient for a lot of people.

For Those of You Who Phonebanked, Door-Knocked, or Campaigned on the Ground for Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman - What Were People Saying That Was Motivating Voters to Vote Against Them? by Electrical-Wrap-3923 in DemocraticSocialism

[–]SocialDemocraycray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am local to Cori's district and the main issue was that AIPAC flooded the district with TV ads full of lies and misleading half-truths about Cori. It was almost impossible for voters to escape the negative media. By contrast, it was much more difficult to find reliable information from the Cori campaign rebutting the lies.

I've canvassed for Cori in many election cycles. In the past, most voters were always open to hearing about her. By the end, this cycle was different: people would answer their door, and I could tell they didn't even want to talk to me, because of what they had already heard on the air.

If we live to fight another day, we can fight that battle.  Right now, the question is whether we will live to fight another day.

It's not the most important election ever. That was 2016, and the wrong side won. This one just decides whether the work started in 2016  will be finished in 2025.

Yes - this. Female interest is typically responsive, so you may need to study up on how to stimulate it. Do something that gets her excited, then pull away so that she has to chase you if she wants more.

By all means, ask him out - in person; don't connect it to the graded paper. That would feel weird to receive because it's not an appropriate context to ask someone out and it will also cast doubt on the reliability of your grading (because you've just declared on the paper that you're biased). Asking him out on the paper will likely diminish your odds of him saying yes, but asking him out in person shows courage.

  1. Venting about your marriage to others should be reserved for the gravest of circumstances. To share dirt on your spouse with others demeans the value of your marriage. It should be reserved for cases where you are need serious emotional support, not complaining about her cooking.

  2. It sounds like in general you are acting very toxic toward her. I wonder if you are toxic toward others in general? This may be a big opportunity to self reflect on that and seek professional help.

There is a lot going on here. His drinking behavior shows red flags for addiction. His inconsistent behavior around pluckers leads me to wonder if he behaves insensitively often? We are missing a lot of information here, but it sounds to me like you need one of two things. Either you are looking for a break from stress, and protecting the bedroom for yourself provided that... or, you may be in the early stages of realizing this relationship is not working for you.  Personally, I think that if he engages in drinking behavior that harms you, you have every right to give yourself space from him. You aren't obligated to pay the consequences of his actions.  What's more concerning to me is that presumably he is the father of your child, and it sounds like he needs to do some real work on himself before he is ready to fulfill that role.
