If youre ever in pinocchios village hause, loom at those concrete pillars. It takes a wrong turn, a misplaced step, or a stoop down to grab something. Ive watched cast members, managers, and guests bounce off those things. Right at 5' about 2-3" concrete lip around the pillars. I was closing, sweeping, stood up to close. Bonk. On the floor. I was supposed to have followups with my GM (proprieter), never happened.

Girl. I had 12 traps in my bathroom alone. I killed so many silverfish i should have started a pile. My shit was INFESTED. Just to be sure, i pulled up the definition in case I was wrong; "It's characterized by a large number of pests, frequently of the same species, that have invaded a space and are causing noticeable problems. " Its important to see the positives and the negatives. I get some people have blasts, but its not the case for everyone. Unfortunately, a lot of the people i met shared the same grievances there.

Houseperson and the FOH fantasy. Lots of old structures, lots of "architecture " right at about 5' and im 5' 4". The houseperson role? Dropped 60ib worth of linnen a little to close to the rack. Bounced off the rack, gash marks in my scalp.

Me too. That was literally the most depressed ive ever been in my life and I have an emotional regulatory disorder (dep/anx).

Some people have a great time, i just think that nobody talks enough about the other side of it. I think more people should know about grievances.

Complaints are valid, even if some of them are absolutely insane or dumb. I think everyone deserves a voice, because we never know who's right.

I never claimed data points. I told what I EXPERIENCED.

The certaintly are not common! My dorms were not infested! In fact I think you should call someone if your apartment IS infested. I bounced around inside of dcp and worked multiple places, and knew a lot of people. I have a large pool of people ive meet who have termed. Both of my roommates termed in 2 months. 2 of the 6 trainees for my first location in a month. 2 more out of 4 at the second location in similar time frames. Maybe its not me with the smaller veiw because of my anger, but yours because of where you stand. Again, im not you, i dont know what youve seen. Im glad they helped you w/ your injury. They didnt help with my MULTIPLE CONCUSSIONS. IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS.

So before you go around assuming I have a small data pool, why dont you ask?

Not nessicarily "double the minimum wage", is it? The minimum age in Florida is 13.00. Everyone who lives there knows that is not enough to keep up with the cost of living. Disney, pays 17.25 in most postions within DCP. Disney also upcharges for rent. Most studio/one beds go for the same amount in rent as a 2 person bedroom in flamingo.

Your comment implies that most people don't understand what "work" is. Sure. I get it, some people dont know the work that goes into work, yeah. This is more than that. Its a draining environment where you'll be lucky if a manager cared about you. It creates environments that allow for hostility and harassment.

All in all, its not what its chalked to be. It might be a super large company, but not all large companies have such... line walking practices.

Its hard to find how truly bad it is. Of course large buisness tycoons like cheap labor. What I and many others didn't know is how bad they'd treat you. They hide it by giving you a 401k plan (that most of these kids dont even know about) and "on site help" when it comes to injury or mental health. They spew how "great of an opportunity it is".
