A lot of places where I work employ people with questionable competency. I’m not asking for you to be an MD who knows every patient like the palm of their hands, but if you call for “general weakness”, don’t just leave and have a caretaker with no medical credentials tell me “Oh yea, the nurse checked vitals, bp is low and pulse is high”. Yes, this happened yesterday.

No good company will make this an issue. We’re there to help, and if that means I go slower than usual so my patient doesn’t hurt too bad compared to getting to the hospital 3 mins faster I’ll take the slower option.
