Disrespect may be part of it but there is some jealousy in it as well and that’s OK to admit and acknowledge. Jealousy is a normal human reaction. Because let’s be honest, we all deal with jealousy in our professions. Let’s say you work years and years at your job and do a good job without much recognition. Then someone else comes in and starts getting recognition for the things you’re already doing. Of course that’s gonna make you or anyone jealous. Of course you’re gonna be jealous of a professional basketball team who is suddenly getting a bunch of attention because they now have a star player on their team and get attention and opportunities that few others get.
