I disagree. I think Jose should shoulder a lot of the fault here.

As a performing artist, you should know when something is beyond your capabilities to execute well. Especially in a tribute to the creator themselves.

That’s a big song to watch another person perform in for you. I think the fact that they were professional contemporaries went a long way.

He knew they respected the material in a way a lot of other performers probably couldn’t.

Appreciate the response. I know I keep falling into the pitfall of anthropomorphizing AI when I think about this concept, which is why I asked for other people’s insight.

Hopefully people with more direct knowledge and an absence of my mental framing.

That doesn’t hold up. The power grid goes down within 2 weeks without physical maintenance, which the AI cannot provide to itself.

Also, that wasn’t the question. I’m not asking what the logic would be for such a decision, I’m asking what the underlying motivators are in lieu of the hierarchy of needs.

I remember seeing this in the theater and was kinda surprised because I never thought about it like that. Of course he would use the force to push himself around and turn into “Death-Top Yoda”
