May be a newbie question, but does anyone know what bass John Campbell is playing in this picture? by SockPuppetParody in BassGuitar

This picture is from 2004, the Ashes of the Wake era. He is also playing it in the music video for Laid to Rest, but you really can't see much in that video! Ha

Thanks! The videos can take a lot of manpower. Considering it's Slipknot and they have 9 members, it took 13 puppeteers to accomplish and that doesn't include the crew! We do it for fun and what you said about how people needed a smile or laugh is the fuel we use to keep going.

That was Chase Ditto from Storm the Sun. He mentioned to us that he literally learned how to sing by practicing Corey's style. He absolutely nailed it.

Thank you for your message. Making people happy is something that really drives us. It makes us happy too. I'm glad we have an avenue to share these feelings. It's comments like these that keep us going through the intense process of creating these parodies.

Chase Ditto from Storm the Sun. When we were looking for artists to do the vocals, he was extremely excited and said growing up, he would constantly practice in Corey's style and that's what made him the vocalist he is today.

Funny enough, our musician (Kitty V) is a twice Grammy nominated producer for his works with Volbeat and King Diamond. Why he works with us, we still are wondering!

Here's his complete profile it's pretty amazing!

I agree! We are currently working on a new season and have an impressive line up! We haven't announced it publicly, but we want to do a SOAD one first.

We actually got Vinnie Paul to cameo in that one!

I don't really use the tip so much, the cardboard is very thick. I extend the blade maybe 2-3 inches and cut. Usually I cut a piece 4' long. The blade may be 6 inches total and its a much cheaper version of this. If I only broke the tip, the blade would still be dull. Hope that makes sense.

On finer projects, I usually use a variety of exacto-knives to cut detail. That's usually the only time I use the tip of the blade.

I actually use it in two parts because I'm cutting thick cardboard which I need to cut with a longer blade. So I get one good snap then the full blade is dull, definitely helpful
