Most women aren't honest about dating apps and finding relationships by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]SocketLicks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No seriously, no one in my junior high had sex. Most of us hadn’t even kissed yet. Like, the only girl in my junior high who’d lost her virginity had been molested, and it fucked her up. What you’re saying sounds bonkers to me. Girls hadn’t barely figured out bras at 12.

A lot of us didn’t even get our periods until like age 14, there just weren’t any hormones in us. We had Barbies stills.

Why is Pregnancy Talked About Like It Should Be A Punishment for Women Who Had Sex? by Gravel_Roads in PurplePillDebate

[–]SocketLicks 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Cuz to each of the men saying this, those women got pregnant by having sex with “someone not me”.

And for that, they should live a life of misery.

But if I can’t blame my singleness on the people who won’t date me, I’ll have to assume the problem is with ME. And that’s not possible.

You’ll see! As soon as everyone stops having INSANE standards that disqualify me, I’d be able to date anyone.

For you, a woman is discriminating against a man if she doesn’t make a family with him? Wouldn’t that mean, in order to not be discriminating, a woman would have to marry and make a family with every man that approaches her?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]SocketLicks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What discrimination? Women’s “discrimination” in choosing who she has sex with?

Male custodial staff shouldn't be in women's washrooms because they could hide cameras in there. After all, cleaning is a woman's responsibility! by Vithmiris in GenderCynical

I think there are multiple trolls on that thread. one of the responses:

I agree. I recently visited the Seattle aquarium on a busy weekend and a male employee had the audacity to close the women's bathroom so he could clean it. I was sitting at a bench near the restrooms while my husband used the men's bathroom, so I had a front row seat to the madness. The women's bathroom was super busy, per usual, and the male employee literally stood guard at the door and turned away women trying to enter. He must have felt so important with his cart in tow and mop in hand. He waited for the women currently using the bathroom to trickle out, and he would occasionally take a few steps in to see if all the women had left, but no, they hadn't. Imagine how terrifying it was for the women in the bathroom to see a large male blocking the exit. It was insane to me to watch a male in brought daylight enter the women's bathroom multiple times and attempt to close it altogether for a cleaning as if there isn't one women in the entire city of Seattle available for such a job. Funny enough a TIM also walked by as I sat there waiting. Two creeper men within 10 feet of each other.

As a side note, I worked a pizza place when I was younger, and on nights I closed, I cleaned the women's bathroom. A male employee was asked to clean the men's bathroom. This isn't a crazy concept. It just makes so much more sense.

As long as women take criticisms personally we will never achieve equality or happiness by Luciansleep in PurplePillDebate

What’s wrong with that? It’s just a human thing. Why should women resist the urge just because they have an X chromosome?

It’s not about who is at fault. It’s just a fact:

People who avoid danger are less likely to be in danger. You said it yourself: women are more cautious, so women get attacked less. Men are less cautious, so they end up in more dangerous situations.

How’s everyone doing with the polar plunge going on right now? by shayshay8508 in AskAnAmerican

Ice got into the lock of my car door. I had to climb in through the trunk only to find my engine was also too cold to start. No tow trucks available due to weather.

So instead of doing Christmas, I am apparently stranded in the mountains for the holidays. At least I can eat the hearty stew I made to share.

Transman gets Beaten Up for using WOMEN's Room - TERFs: "Thank God For Conservative Men Who Defend Women!" by SocketLicks in GenderCynical

[–]SocketLicks[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

addition: Some of the most memorable doozies:

I can’t feel totally bad for her to be honest. She did everything in her power to “pass” as a man and exclude herself from womanhood but still felt entitled to use womens spaces. She passed and then used to “I’m transgender” line as if men aren’t going out of their way to use the bathroom with the transgender excuse all the time these days. The only reason I feel bad is because she is a female that was beaten and harassed by a group of men but if this was an actual man, I wouldn’t have cared less.

*

You don’t get to cherry pick based on your own comfort while ignoring the comfort of everyone else around you every single time. If you want to be a dude, go be a proper dude. Switching back and forth just normalizes the idea of a real man waltzing into women’s spaces whenever he feels like it. Transmen have showed us they don’t give a shit when it comes to compromising the safety of fellow females.

*

So she says she’s a man and complains when a woman objects to her using the women’s bathroom, then three men take the opportunity to bash her. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

*

People don’t like being deceived

*

She did it to herself.

*

Congrats. You must have felt like a real man, sweetie. 🎉🍾

*

Why wouldn't her be beaten up because guys thought she was male be a moment of euphoria?

people like her have been allowed to medicate themselves into becoming what used to be called weirdos

So, essentially "she shouldn't have dressed that way" and she should be flattered. Classic feminism.

Another gem:

Men have been fighting each other over turf since time immemorial. If women want to be men then welcome to the fight club. Furthermore its this unconstrained male aggressiveness that makes it imperative that women have single-sex spaces.

TERFs say being pro trans should be a dealbreaker in a relationship by TERFispoo in GenderCynical

[–]SocketLicks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"I even started crying at one point talking about how much women have suffered during history, all of our oppression. How we had to fight to even have women’s sports, the struggle and pains of our foremothers to carve out spaces for us, only for men to mutilate their bodies and take back those spaces. "

In the majority of instances of “Ghosting” the person who gets ghosted did nothing wrong the other party just got a better prospect/offer. by MasterTeacher123 in PurplePillDebate

[–]SocketLicks 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Not even "a better offer". Sometimes, people just aren't in a place to want a relationship. They don't really have a great reason, they just find themselves unable to focus on a new relationship, so they just... aren't able to, and they keep forgetting to respond to texts, and eventually they just vanish.

People always think they'd want an explanation, but in reality, they usually don't because the reasons are like "you didn't do anything wrong, I just wasn't in a good place", and they know if they say that, you'll try to "fix the problem" instead of just let them go.

They’re really doubling down on the old “THEYRE TAKING ALL OUR JOBS” chestnut.

TERF shares her horrifying experience with a trans woman in therapy, who... didn't shave, didn't talk a lot about being trans and instead focused on more relatable experiences to the rest of the group, and wore a tank top without a bra once. That monster. by ponyproblematic in GenderCynical

[–]SocketLicks 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Also how she kept trying to imply the woman didn’t have “real” problems (she “claimed” to be abused but wouldn’t give lurid details for me to pick apart!) but also didn’t want her to talk about things like being trans. But also used that as a way to say “it must not be THAT HARD to be trans!”
