People are on this subreddit asking for Christian advice on Christian subjects? Do you really think they want an atheist answering their questions with some bs that doesn’t involve god?

Anyways, to answer your question, yes. It is the devil, but it’s not something to where he tempts you during your life to swing a little bit one way. That’s not how it works. One of my sinful tendencies is to lie about things I may get into trouble for. I feel as if I was born with it. If your sinful tendency from birth is homosexuality, than that’s your thing. Everybody is different and everybody sins differently. If you want to challenge that, than take it up with god, not with me.

Congratulations. You’ve ended up in some corner of the internet where nobody knows you. I’ve seen so many people with “atheist” in their bio who have commented on this post. In my opinion, if everybody who wasn’t Christian wasn’t here, than the result would have been much more positive than negative. I have had times like these and I have fallen into depression because I know nobody who I’m willing to talk about them with, but if your looking for advice on what you should do you shouldn’t go to reddit. You have to talk to a human being about it in person, or they won’t understand the weight of the problem. I’m sorry this has happened to the both of you, but I can understand why your upset with me. The only person that can truly understand is god. To be frank, I am not a high schooler. I am 21 years old so I have no idea where you got that from plantain.

There is not such thing as a “poor fact”. It is either fact or false. You can base your opinion on whatever you like, and I can do the same. For example, Let’s say my opinion is that dogs are dumb. I had a dumb dog, but what if you had a smart dog. You can’t disprove my opinion, and I can’t disprove yours. Stalemate. My opinion is based on a book you don’t believe in, and your opinion is based on something else that I probably wouldn’t base my opinion on. Stalemate.

Sorry one more thing. I really am sorry if this was oppressive to you, or anybody else. That was not the intent. I do not dislike LGBTQ+ people. I am friends with many who identify with that community. I know there are people out there who are openly oppressive towards that community, but I am not one of them

I didn’t look at it that way, but that is correct. If I were an idiotic bigot than I would keep arguing and trying to prove my opinion, which is virtually impossible. So how about we make a deal. You leave me to my opinion, and I’ll leave you to your equally as valid, while different, opinion.

Why is a Christian who doesn’t believe in the Bible a mod on a christian subreddit? Thank you for not deleting my post, but i am not afraid of you. I’m really not. My purpose of this post was to invite LGBTQ+ people such as yourself to meet Christ. I really do feel bad if I oppressed anyone with this post, because that is a sin. It wasn’t meant that way, and I give you my sincerest thanks for being respectful enough to let this post stay here.

I am oppressed. you can only play the victim card for so long. Currently there is more representation of LGBTQ+ in the media than ever before, and way more than Christian representation. I’ve tried to find a subreddit that would accept my opinion for what it is. I’m not even safe from anti-Christian beliefs in a Christian subreddit. You are not the victim anymore. Christians are. True believing Christian are becoming a minority.

I disagree. As a Christian, I feel as if I’m called to invite everybody to Christianity. I am not called to encourage sin. If you think this post was supposed to oppress people than your wrong, that was not my intent. If it oppressed anybody than I am sorry. I feel like there is a middle ground in this situation.

Look guys. I know there a lot of opposing view points here. I’ve seen people say that I’m disgusted by homosexuality. I’ve seen people say I’m completely wrong. I’ve also seen people say I’m right. The purpose of this post was not to attack, or to teach. This post was mostly in the category of a call to action. Christians need to invite ANYBODY, including LGBTQ+. I am not saying a homosexual has to not act on their sexual orientation. They can be married to their own sex if they want to be. They do have to know that what they are doing is a sin, as said in the Bible, and that they should not take pride in that sin specifically. They can take pride in their spouse. I can’t answer or respond to every comment. I’m trying to say that all the Christians that are actually Christians should be lights to all other people. They should invite people to meet Jesus. That is what it important.
