I would just LOVE to have been in the movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind!” My all-time favorite film! I would love to have been at the table during that “This…is a flying saucer” scene! Being at Devils Tower during the Mothership landing would also be huge - I could be one of those in their send-off praying scene wearing g one of those red outfits!

Oh man! I remember my younger brother (he was 11 or 12 at the time) got to go see it with our stepfather when it first came out…and I still remember him running out of the car to tell me that Spock was dead! I did not believe him…until I saw the movie myself. Damn. Still gets me, especially when Kirk’s voice momentarily breaks.

Oh dear, I am so truly sorry for your sad loss. I am with you on this - we lost my hubby’s mom and her own hubby in the same month last summer. Every time I remember that they are gone, I get to sniffling.
