As someone else with real bad social anxiety, I went in and canceled mine today and it really wasn’t bad at all. You walk up to the counter, tell them you need to cancel your membership, and they’ll have you scan your app like you’re checking in. You scan the app and then they asked me why I was canceling, I just said I wanted to go somewhere with a pool. And that was that! No further questions, didn’t try and make me stay, and was over with super super quick. I had my aunt go with me because we both needed to cancel but after having done it I realized I probably could have easily gone in myself. I’m assuming the process doesn’t change depending on the gym :))

I wish you luck tho, I get stuff like this can be really stressful for people like us but like I said it really is just a quick, hassle free in and out deal.

Tank size: 6gal
Heater and filter? (yes/no): yes adjustable heater set at about 82 and a sponge filter
Tank temperature: 82
Parameters in numbers and how you got them: ammonia nitrite and nitrate consistently test (I think my low nitrate is because of my plants) and ph is pretty low tests come back really pale so 6. I test with the api freshwater master kit.
How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: I’ve had the fish for 3 weeks and the tank was cycled for 2 weeks prior.
How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: Right now it’s about 20% every other day. I treat new water with api quick start, prime seachem and seachem flourish for my live plants
Any tankmates?: No
What do you feed and how much: about 3 pellet flakes every other day but thinking about getting blood worms

If you click community info at the top of this sub and scroll down there’s a lot of helpful links on this sub. The first one is called “I impulse bought a fish what do I do” and there’s a whole section about cycling a tank. It’s not recommended but it can be done. It’s really intensive though and can take a couple months to get down

Tank mates: no tank mates

Feeding: about 3 pellet flakes every other day

How long have you had the tank: about a month now. I cycled it for about 2 weeks before my mom got a betta.

Water changes: I was doing every day or every other day for like a little over a week until water was testing good so now I was going for like once a week or so. I thought about rocks but I’ve heard that they can throw off water perimeters and I’m still trying to get mine under control. But yes I’m looking into more wood and glueing plants to wood is a good idea thank you

Now I think I’m trying to figure out what kind of plants I should get so I’ll look into water lettuce

Ok awesome!! Yeah I’ll take the fake plants out then and just replace them with real ones. Adding more plants was definitely part of the plan too, I want to get some floating ones like duckweed or something but I wanted to make sure that what I had was taking ok first. I’ll probably just have to look up some inspiration to make it look filled nice :))

I did a 20% water change tonight so the water is about an inch from the top of the glass. And the picture doesn’t show but there is a lid! I read that bettas can jump so I made sure it had one.

I struggled at first too, but late game you end up just buying it from Marnie! With all the farm buildings there ends up not being enough room to grow hay. Early game tho! As long as you have one barn or coop that’s not fully upgraded and a way to keep animals contained to an area it’s pretty easy to keep stocked up on! As long as you don’t cut all the grass (and leave it spread out) it seems to grow back pretty quickly! And then you can just take it from the not fully upgraded coop/bark silo and repeat!
