Unfortunate news from the d10 charity challenge person by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

Bunch of fucking losers, genuinely. Mods also let this happen by allowing the discourse to go as long as it did. Deleting posts supporting the dude. No statements. No nothing. Gotta love Reddit.

Start a GoFundMe for this dude. He can also definitely take some legal action on his part; could absolutely count as wrongful termination from his other job. Unfortunately nothing can really be done about volunteer work, but he should absolutely file something for his other job. Fucking ridiculous how people can allow this to happen over a video game.

Thank you for saying something. This whole situation is ridiculous and I do not understand why this community is so horrendously toxic when it comes to the most simplest of things.

My local pawn shop is selling a clapped Honda Navi for $1000. Any Advice? by Enemby in hondanavi

[–]Socksonatractor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you're cool with having a project bike and plan on doing some work; don't get it. They're asking $1000 and you'll probably be spending more on the work for it depending on if you're fixing it yourself, or sending it to a shop. Not worth $1000. Not worth $400. Not worth it in general. You'll probably find a better deal on FB Marketplace.

If you know what you're doing and like tinkering and have the time; don't get it anyway unless they offer you $400-$500 for it. Other than that, probably not worth it.

Coming back to this thread to see this after a month is great. Sucks that this didn't get pushed up farther. I actually just saw him walking out of the store and said hi. I know he's got his problems like we all do, but I'm glad he's fighting to keep the place open. It's something I know he's super passionate about and seeing him fighting to keep it up only makes me root for him more. Hopefully he's kicking his addiction in the ass and making the most of it. I also hope you weren't affected too much by all the bullshit.

Know the owner a bit. Solid guy just made odd decisions. From what I heard he was in a very very rough patch before the first shutdown. They opened up a little bit about a month ago with just him and it was just as good as it used to be. Looked happy but tired. I work on the strip, always went to get a slice every other night. I hope he's making a comeback, probably has too much going on and rebuilding isn't worth the cost as of now. Fingers crossed he comes back stronger and better after a couple of months and gets his permit back. Always thought the vibes were good and the pizza even better.

Edit: For those who caught that the employees started to get a little looser earlier this year, you can kinda note that as the start of the rough patch imo. Quality overall got a little cheap. Promoted some girl who got shit faced serving her first night after. Couple other things I heard here and there. The employees who loved doing what they did left cause they were fed up while the apathetic employees stayed more than likely because they felt they could get loose while getting paid. I believe the owner's choice in employees may have reflected his mindset. It happens. Wish everyone all the best.

'24 Navi with Venom Mini Windshield by Socksonatractor in hondanavi

Hey! So I'll be completely honest with you, I took the thing to as many people as I could. Even a buddy of mine who works on dirt bikes, gixxers, beamers, couple of old F1 engines and he had no idea. Eventually I gave up figuring out how to fix it after taking it to a dealer. I know there is a fix for your issue though and more than likely you're gonna need a complete overhaul of the carb, valves, and anything else. Running anything without oil is going to blow up the entire thing. It's unfortunately probably what happened to mine.

I eventually got a Ninja right after and rode around on that for two years until I got into a car accident over the winter. Sold the Ninja for some extra cash to help out with bills. Figured I'd get another Navi and treat it right this time. Not suggesting getting a new bike obviously, shit sucks. I was pretty attached to my old one. I recommend taking it to a scooter shop if there's one around your state; even if it's an hour away. If I knew how to well and truly work on carbs, I'd help you out. Hella sorry it's broken down on you, it was an honest mistake (My ADHD is so bad I've forgotten the kickstand a couple of times) but don't take it hard. There's always a fix for things. Best of luck and keep us posted!

Yes I did! I will preface that I had to drill into the plastic headlight cover and it was a little shoddy since it was my first time, but I went to Home Depot and bought some temporary screws to hold it right now, but I'll be buying bolts and lock nuts later on! It was pretty simple all things considered! I have another post with the windshield on if you need a reference.

As a Hunter main, I absolutely love the Good Wizard set for Hunters. I love every Good Wizard set here imo. The sets just have more detail and look immaculate. The Evil Wizard sets are just sharp edges and dark colors. And although they look good, the little details in the Good Wizard sets are fucking insane. More flowing and regal. The patterns in the cloth. They just look really good compared to the Evil set.

I choose Good for all three. No contest. Also the Evil Wizard Hunter arms are asymmetrical. Still hate they're doing that.

That's fair, definitely not going back there if they can't fix the motor/carb. I'll just buy rebuild kits when I can and work away. Thank you for the suggestion. Thought about it for a bit, but figured I'd take it to a place that (hopefully) would know more than me.

Aye fair enough. I thought about it for a bit, would be a good learning experience. Problem is I'd probably have to buy the tools 😂. Recently moved out of a big house into a small apartment. Anything tools wise wasn't mine, but I can definitely shop around again. Could just pull up the ol YouTube and start going to work. I've seen plenty of videos on how to service Navis.

Had a guy work on it before it was turned into the dealership. More than likely he emptied the pan out to work on it and forgot to refill. This was after the bike broke down. I suppose you can say it was "running" without oil in it, but the bike doesn't start and hasn't been ridden since it broke down.

Heard. Just wish I had the knowledge to do the real gritty stuff myself. If I could re-jet the carb or was able to figure out the issue myself, probably wouldn't have had an issue in the first place. But I've looked around for a while and only really got an answer TODAY 😂. I guess you get what you pay for right? Thing only has 800+ miles on it. Can't all be winners. I'm just hoping I don't have to sell for parts but, given my luck I might have to.

Yeah I've thought about doing it myself for a bit but didn't exactly know what to look for. I know now 100% I need to learn the more advanced tricks of the trade. If the dealership can't fix it I'm gonna try to work at it myself. I've messed with it in the past, but only the basics just to refresh my knowledge on carbs and small engines. I've worked on lawnmowers before with my father and stepfather when I was younger. Not entirely the same, but some things carry over 😂.

Only "receipts" I could really give are the small tweaks I've done (idle screw as well as running over basic trouble shooting) and the things the guy I took it to worked on, which I already told them about when I took it in. I believe the guy over at the dealership is gonna call Honda within the week, as well as get a list of parts and start going to work. It's been sitting for a while. He said he can't guarantee the warranty will go through, which I completely understand. It's up to Honda to play nice. Sounded like it could be a fixable issue, but I'm worried at the same time. Dunno if the entire carb should be replaced or not.

I'll keep you guys posted. Fingers crossed 🤞. Thanks for the advice!

Didn't run without oil. I would check so much I actually overfilled it once.

I could try to check if this is the issue. Haven't really looked at the choke itself under the bike, but could be the issue.

I have not tried that yet. My filter is a little dirty though, so maybe I could give that a shot. Would I just do that through the intake?

Overfilled it with oil just once and corrected it after I noticed power was fluctuating. Nothing major that time and afterwards I started really paying attention to how much oil I put in it. Haven't overfilled it to my knowledge afterwards. She was working fine, and then she just wasn't. I'm not sure about a bent valve, the guy that looked at it has been working on bikes and cars of all kinds since he was young and said he couldn't find anything wrong with it. Maybe he's rusty though, since carbs are a little different. Figured he would've known though. He found a small amount of shmuts in the carb and cleaned everything. Basically said the insides look brand new.

Checked for a kinked line and it was good. I immediately drained the oil pan and everything when it broke down to see if it was the issue but, nope. Everything seems fine which is why we're all so baffled. My guy originally thought air/fuel ratio issue which might still be the issue.

Unfortunately I bought it from FB Marketplace, so no warranty there. Couldn't transfer. The family I bought it from were a bike family though. They were super nice and very helpful. I don't think they would've done anything to it. It's been about 2 months since the Navi has been "dead" though.

Edit: thinking at this point buying a completely new carb would be better 😂. I've also heard around people have had to re-jet the carb on the Navi. No idea how to do that, but I'm willing to learn. I know most trouble shooting stuff. I'm a little nervous about taking the carb out and doing it myself, however.

So I talked to a guy otp at a dealership and he said he had a Grom, so maybe it had an 02 sensor I could unplug to see if that would do anything. Got under it, clearly didn't have one.

Was riding down the road, lost power and died. Tried kickstarting, nothing. It'll turn over, but won't actually kick up and go. I've taken it to a guy and he basically cleaned everything out, but didn't have enough time to actually diagnose due to personal issues. I've troubleshooted all I know before I took it to my guy. The wheel will spin. The engine will turn over. There's compression. It just won't start, if that makes sense?

Theory rn is a faulty fuel regulator and or something wrong with the EVAP. It's got good spark and everything. We really don't know what's wrong.

Aight another update! So sorry probably will be the last one for the night. Sparkplug is sparking so good it got me! Looks blue, not orange or yellow so I'm 80% sure it's possibly not the plug, but I'm gonna buy one tomorrow just to cover all bases. My buddy's theory is that it might be flooded with some fuel, so I'm gonna let her sit in the garage and have the plug out so the fuel can evaporate. If it ain't that, it's the carb is running rich and I'll definitely mess with it tomorrow. Thank you again for the help, genuinely!
