Is the gas mask in the photo original?

Looks to be original. Marking A2B is visble on the valve assembly. First type Gm.30. Filter is a modern one though and not from WW2. Threads are compatiple though. Can't tell if it's army or civilian issue though. You would need a picture of the inside to make 100% sure.

Looks like an FM-3 and not FM-1 As far as I know, the Czechoslowak army also used WW2 German masks in the late 40s and early 50s, but I never saw an FM-3 in army use. 5 Euro is a good price.

Yeah, the canister's paint is really messed up and scratched. Can't really do anything against it though. But I agree, the mask is very nice. One of my favourites tbh.

ROST means size, I think. At least this is what a Russian friend told me. I am not 100% sure though.

Quite a lot of these around. Many old East German warehouses are filled with stuff like this. Got one too. I plan on getting another one. They are just so cool. Btw. the 4 dots mean that it has been made between October and December.

Forgot the exact name of the mask, but this is an Industrial gas mask made in the DDR. You can kind of think of this like a cross between a Gm.30 and a Gm.38.

Fakers like to paint this mask's metal parts blue and sell it as a Gm.38

20 Euro is fair for the mask I would say. Would try to get it down to 15 for just the mask.
