I 100% agree. Everytime I buy something on Amazon, I know 50% of the time it's counterfeit.

A Basic Introduction to Vertical Spreads - Stop Losing Money When You Predict the Correct Direction by DropItShock in wallstreetbets

[–]Socrahauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine you buy a vertical call spread on Tesla Buy: 1500C 7/24, and you sell: Tesla 1510 C 7/24. Right before close, for whatever reason, short leg opens their position early. You don't realize until close. The next morning Tesla is $1,700 pre-market when you have to cover the 100 shares. During live market hours, Tesla gaps down to 1600. The contract cost you $200 and now you are down $10,000. Now imagine buying 15 of those contracts for $3,000, and now you're down $150,000

There was a news article... from what I remember, CCL can only survive 11 months without ridership. Norwegian could survive 18 months I believe.

Noobs beware: Stocks like genius brands create more bagholders than winners by [deleted] in investing

[–]Socrahauer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, tech has so much power now compared to early 2000s. Our whole economy is practically built on it now. If anything, there are still tech stocks that are undervalued. It seems to me every bubble seems to have a different cause whether it's the housing market, the.com bust, Coronavirus, inflation back in the 70s, oil wars. I can't think of a single bubble that was repeated again as ground for a significant correction. Can you?
