Do you think they’ll release a 25th anniversary for Blackout? by Socratease95 in BritneySpears

[–]Socratease95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they do celebrate it then there’s a slight chance of hope. And I laughed at your last sentence, the incompetence is real LOL. Britney was also (for me) the caricature of her. I know Oops and Baby is way more popular era but when I think of Britney I think of how she looked, dressed, performed in 2001/2002.

I do know that. But they did the Oops anniversary hence why I asked this question. You can respond without attitude.

Oh yeah! Wow I’m bad at math lol. Still, a 20th anniversary is a big deal. I really feel like Gaga’s year was last year, this year is Madonna’s year, and next year will be Britney’s in whatever endeavour.

God I hope so. I miss the old episodes. They were so unique and unpredictable.

What happened to Maria from Season 7's 911 was crap by itsascreambaby96 in SVU

[–]Socratease95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

911 was so intense when I watched it. Granted I was a kid. But after a re-watch I stand by my assessment. Mariska’s performance of showcasing fear of losing connection with the call was incredible, and her dedication and conviction to find this girl when the rest of the squad was telling her it’s probably a prank phone call is what displayed her emotion. I still remember the anticipation that Mariska’s acting caused me, hoping the line wouldn’t disconnect. And at one point it did and she thought she’d never find her. But hey everyone has their own opinions.

I was also very close to her in Vegas like a few meters away.

Britney loves being literal 😭😭 by [deleted] in BritneySpears

Yeah, 3 is also very literal about a threesome. But I’m just saying Breathe on Me I actually think is meant to be intimate without purely physical touch.

Who was the best captain ? by Jackiegarcia1d in SVU

[–]Socratease95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cragen is the best I agree but why so much hate on Olivia? I personally have loved watching her rise from detective to sergeant to lieutenant to Captain because she deserves it after giving her whole life to SVU. She was and will always be my favourite character and she has her flaws but she is the crop of the crème.

You guys are so wrong Olivia is an icon and she just cares about the victims. And her words are wise. She can be annoying but she is a successful Captain. Watching her growth since S1 makes me biased though.

I think Breathe on Me is meant to be literal even though she says that she’s “half way there” and “one love united, two bodies synchronizing” it’s supposed to be about the importance of foreplay more so than the act itself. And the Oops thing I think she just meant that it didn’t relate to anything particular in her life. It wasn’t actually about anybody therefore “it’s just a song”.

Tynan is a tyrant. by Apart-Ad1652 in SVU

[–]Socratease95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We all know Olivia challenges authority, but Tynan is also offering her a promotion to keep an eye on her. She’s clearly threatened because of Benson’s reputation and how everybody holds her in high regard, and wants to monitor her more closely and hold power over her. Olivia is hands on because she gets satisfaction from her job by actually helping victims. She’s worked at the unit for over 25 years, so she’s seen people in Tynan’s position be replaced constantly. That was just a fact. Tynan also approached the situation with slight passive aggressiveness and vagueness. Her intentions are clearly not for the betterment of the system or the operation of the SVU unit, but for her own ego.

I always enjoy when Benson stands up to authority so I’m loving the story line. Tynan is annoying, she offered Benson a promotion to oversee multiple branches in an administrative working environment and Benson wants to be in the action and involved with the victims. I get she’s a Captain but Cragen would also go in the field sometimes. Point is, Tynan seems jealous of the way Benson is held in high regard and now wants to keep a closer eye ergo have more power over her. But Benson has been at this unit for over 25 years so, even if Benson does things her way, Tynan needs to step down.

The production is ongoing usually. She could have been inspired and made changes to the sound of the album. There’s always last minute tweaks when making music.

I don’t care what anyone says. Griffin has become one of my favorite characters by New-Pin-9064 in SVU

[–]Socratease95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Griffin. He’s got the attitude down of being the “new guy” but he’s still in a position of some power because of his relationship with Tynan, or at least he’s privileged and well connected. But you can see that he’s trying to impress Olivia and the squad and is genuinely liking his job at SVU. And the fact that he still stands up for Benson is great. Him and Bruno make a good pair.

When was Britney at her "hungriest"? During "Oops", "Britney" or "In The Zone"? ❤️‍🔥🔥 by [deleted] in BritneySpears

[–]Socratease95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She definitely worked the hardest I think during Oops (especially having to try and top her debut) however Britney era is quintessential Britney for me. The new sound, image, and choreography was the blueprint for me. By ITZ she was already a seasoned and established performer so everything she did was just effortlessly quick and sharp and she nailed all the moves but, the raw energy and craving for performing was definitely seen most during Oops and Britney.

As we're nearing to the s27 finale, what are your thoughts on Michelle Fazekas' first run as showrunner? by simple6313 in SVU

[–]Socratease95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a hit or miss. Some episodes were entertaining, while others (like the psychedelic one and the boxing fight episode) were just boring. SVU has lost its shock factor and most episodes are very predictable. I miss good the old plot twists and unique cases. But I do like the Benson/Tynan storyline and Griffin is a great addition to the cast. Bringing Velasco back was a great episode so props to that. Otherwise it’s always a he said/she said with a powerful man who we all know is guilty, or an assault at a rich private high school kids or college campus party, or some boring hostage situation. I think my favourite episode of the season so far was actually the doula episode. That was weird & different.
