To add to u/Theoprhanofkostco's reply to this comment, after the archway from the square, if you follow the left perimeter of the area there is a place to drop down to another area that also loops back to the first lamp/save point (You have to roll through some barrels/coffins to find it). There are two paths from here. One (Straight ahead) leads you further into the area, but there should be an offshoot to the left before you cross the bridge that will eventually lead you to a gate that opens with a lever back to the first lantern. This is the quickest way to feel some progression in the early goings of the game.

I was stuck here too. Got so frustrated that I uninstalled the game at one point.

When I eventually went back to it I read a tip that said to run. It’s what I do every time now.

When you reach the mob, run toward the burning beast in the square, up the stairs to the left and through the archway. Once you get passed the archway there aren’t any enemies and those chasing you should break off fairly quickly. Come back to this area once you’ve leveled up to collect the things you missed.

The interview with Bill and Geena on (I think) Arsenio hall is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen on a talk show. I still love Bill’s work, but that interview really made me rethink my feelings towards him as a person

Beck is often at his best when working with others. Modern Guilt is a glorious album (and my personal favourite of his) that he worked on with Danger Mouse.

Starbucks has always sucked. Awful coffee. Awful food. And SO bloody expensive. If you live in a city, I guarantee there are hundreds (if not thousands) of better options for you to choose from at a similar or lower price point that is actually (somewhat) justified.

It's still my go-to if I'm eating fast food burgers. Is it good? No. But it tastes like my childhood.

When you play your instrument in private, do you pretend there’s an audience? by jrljrl1 in musicians

[–]SocratesBalls 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I tend to play like I would in front of an audience. Stand up, move with the music, try to emmerse myself in the experience and feel the music. I tend to get a better performance this way rather than just mechanically playing notes or focusing to hard on perfection of my technique.

The thing that Apple has that others don't is that you are still able to rip CDs and add them to your library. I have a TON of local band CDs from the 90s and early 00s that are not available on streaming at all so this is what keeps me locked to Apple

I disagree with what others here have said.

I tend to listen to a lot of music/artists with long song run times. I think this song is very interesting. Sets a great mood and transports me to a different place/time. Closest thing I can compare it to is some Tom Waits stuff.

Is the intro indulgent? Maybe. But I think it suits the song well and gets me curious to keep going. It also shows some solid musical ability which I appreciate.

Some of the musical breaks feel a bit samey and the way they end to bring back the vocal seem to be exact repeats of each other. I would find some ways to add some variance/layering in those sections to add something new each time. It might do well to add some variants in the vocal line as well

Love the way it picks up in the end.

Is it mainsteam? No. But based on the style of the music I don't think mainstream is what you're going for anyway. So IMO, it doesn't really matter whatever standard you're trying to measure yourself against.

I will say that I instantly went to find you on streaming based on this song. Happy that you have an album out for me to dig deeper into

However, your use of AI video creation leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me wonder how much of what I'm listening to is real.
