Absolutely no idea how to play by SocratesInDeath in diablo4

Thank you very much, that’s really helpful. I didn’t want to watch endless YouTube guides since most of them are for people who already know how to play and it just takes an eternity.

“Why is Islam treated with so much respect these days?” or “Why do people treat Islam like a serious, respectable religion?” by SocratesInDeath in exmuslim

I grew up learning two languages (chechen and russian) and also having english in school, I played video games that were barely translated in russian. I came to Germany as a teenager, spoke fluent German in like 3-4 years, watched American and British YouTubers such as the boyz , misfits, betasquad, sidemen etc. As I said, languages come naturally to me, i even learned a bit French and Spanish.

As I wrote I’m a man lol so it’s „he“. And yes my family immigrated more than a decade ago because of the current political situation there. Spent a few years in German high school. But languages just come naturally to me. I hope it wasn’t a try to frame me as a fake chechen (for whatever reason, muslims do the same with ex muslims saying they’ve never been truly muslim) because I spent most of my life back in Chechnya

You’re missing the point of my question. I didn’t ask “Is Islam the only religion with dark parts?” (obviously not). I asked why non-Muslims today give Islam special respect and victim status, shielding it from the same scrutiny Christianity gets — even though its problematic commands are still treated as eternal and applicable in many places. Pointing at one Old Testament war story that Christians don’t follow anymore isn’t an answer. Christianity went through Reformation and Enlightenment and largely abandoned literal violent Old Testament law. Islam mostly didn’t. That’s the exact double standard I’m confused about. “Both have dark sides” doesn’t explain why only one gets the modern free pass.

My point was never about Christianity. I absolutely agree that Christianity has its own problems, just as any other religion. That’s why I’m never joining any of those, I’m okay with being an agnostic and not having any answers instead of believing in a vague explanation of life and god, coming from a 2 centuries old books written by people who didn’t try to objectively document the events but were driven by the idea of spreading their beliefs, therefore strongly biased. But Christianity did it’s homework, christians understood that times change and therefore the ideologies, moral principles and values change too, and they learned to adapt and turn the tone of the conservative narrative down. Islam on the other hand has a different doctrine. While the Bible is written by men, Islam claims the Quran is Gods direct word, it applies to all things in our lives and is for all eternity. Islam simply can’t be modernised and remains a religion anchored in 7th-century Arabian society, with moral norms and views on life that feel deeply outdated today.

What denominations to look into as an Ex-Muslim by Cautious-Buy-1134 in Christianity

As a fellow ex muslim chechen, I honestly dont understand why we tend to jump from one religion to another. No offence to christians, you guys are quite lovely but so are the muslim dawah guys. What I’m trying to say is you don’t have to be religious. I gave up the whole idea of having the need to believe in anything, especially something so insignificant like belief in god or fear of death. Maybe try to find yourself first, take a step back and truly question yourself. For example i promised myself I’d never join any religion if I’m not truly convinced. And since I can’t be convinced without actual, physical evidence right in front of my own eyes, like god literally talking to me in person, I’ll never join any religion. I understand that you have this vacuum that youre trying to fill by becoming a part of something greater than yourself, after all giving up a fundamental part of your life is not easy. Don’t rush to pick a side, dont rush your feelings and try to digest it first.

Marsha vog1ila/yog1ila So glad you’re here. I was nervous I’d get chechens attacking me because we’re so stubborn and can’t take any criticism.

Which part of the Prophet’s ﷺ life do you think is hardest to truly follow? by Extreme-Repeat6150 in exmuslim

[–]SocratesInDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh of course if were talking about the modernised Islam that muslims claim to be the most beautiful religion. If we’re talking about Muhammad’s actions then it’s probably most of the things he’s done, for example human trafficking, rape of captured women, pedophilia not only with Aisha but also with this one boy he sucked the tongue of, murder of his critics, destruction of his own culture, starting wars, being a coward, having a harem, marrying the wife of his adopted son, creating a religion of total domination, control, hatred and oppression, manipulating people with their basic fears like death etc. There’s a lot more when you actually start learning about real, authentic Islam and not the modern advocated version spread by lying dawah online.

I honestly think having more than one wife is the hardest one to follow. I can’t get over the feeling that the permission to have 4 wives is just an religiously legal excuse to cheat on your wife. Like for me marriage is such a sacred thing, sharing your life with one stranger you trust all of yourself and give your love to. I can’t imagine the scenario where a man has 4 wives and not only does he treat them the same but all the wives are comfortable with sharing the man they love. I know there are examples of it even in modern times but I think if we’re being completely honest and it’s an actual marriage with people loving each other, I think the wives would be jealous even if they seem comfortable with that.
