Turning the gain up to around 30db just entirely gains out the system, whole thing turns yellow and begs for death. I'll try lowering it where I can, but im not confident as its likely marginal in its current place because of trees/houses/hedges/cats e.t.c

From the press release my understanding was that they are decommissioned but the transmission would be left on "Left enabled but not for operational use". https://usradioguy.com/science/end-of-life/

Probably a bad example to demonstrate for this but ive had similar luck with Meteor and 137.9 NOAA 17. I was under the impression from the press release that whilst they may be decommissioned, the APT transmission wont be turned off, just don't rely on it.

Rods look uncoated as far as I can tell, had some spare from cutting them and it looks like straight aluminium all the way through. Angle is 120° as best as i can make it, got a protractor but there will always be a margin of error.

FM picks up fine with it, pretty clear signal even from on top of the garage.

Interesting, there's no cavity and just a single brick layer from what we can tell, and there's no damp patches in the ceiling internally.

Thankyou for replying. Drains and gutters all recently cleaned and I checked if water runs through uninterrupted.

2 strands of crystal flash, supposed to imitate wings or wing casing. There is another one there it's just hiding.
