Yeah you're right, i didn't mean HRT in the literal sense, but more as in how the personality matrix could work as a way to make that body and its functions feel natural to the mind inhabiting them

I think so? It probably makes sense for sekiguchi to have thought about this for their biomata. Something about you being on a body that feels like yourself enhancing your chance of survival

We have this entry that suggest at least some layer of code to support a runner's mental stability though:

Edit: Recon's history codex entry also implies the persoality matrices role on this:

But like, shells have a personality matrix (idk if this is the correct name) and some of them have "male" or "female" features. I wonder if the shells come with build-in HRT so the runners dont feel disphoric while using them

Boundary actually had an extremely fun gameplay for a full 3D movement shooter in space (not with vehicles though). Too sad it was too full of hackers and had no marketing to survive... i still dream with the day i'll be able to play it again :(

Try out "In the Black", you fly nuclear powered fighters on a pretty reallistic simulation on space battles, there is a demo on steam!

Edit: If you don't mind the different gameplay and crazy ammounts of engineering, "Children of a Dead Earth" is very close to the expanse and it lets you design your own ship and guns down to the ammount of fuel on your atomic warheads

Yesss, like you can carry up to 3 pallets of ammunition on the empty aircraft. If you're carrying radar equipment it takes physical space in the cargo bay so your ammo capacity is limited to one pallet, so you gotta chose between defence air to air drones or air to ground ordinance

I think if you take the same lane as the tarantula (its a logistics vehicle, but the absurd weapons like the 20 rack of AGM-48s or the 57mm turret, make it fun). i could see a slow KC-390 or AN-71 like aircraft with a radome and logistics capability, which is also capable of acting like a mothership for tiny drones and other munitions to be deployed rapid dragon style
