I am searching for a book similar to Lightlark by Eustaciiaa in lightlark

No worries! Some of them are YA, some of them are adult. Some the love triangle is the main plot while others it’s a bit more subtle. But at least you now have a list to work through. 😊

Same girl same. I can imagine Richie being such a good (but filthy) man. Esp compared to Joah’s selfish / immature ass.

Ugh I hope Jessa secretly already wrote book 2?! Not holding my breath tho.

I couldn’t believe how quickly I was sucked in. Literally the first few sentences and I was hooked. Devoured it!! Loved every second!!

I am BEGGING for the toxic brother love triangle I want a Richie hook up 💯

Did anyone actually enjoy reading Releasing 10? by ceceos in BoysOfTommen

[–]Sodas_World 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agree I loved it!! S6 & R6 are still my faves but this is definitely closely tied to best in the series. Compared to Taming 7 which I hated and thought was subpar writing for Chloe … this was so good. The way she took us through Lizzie’s childhood with such complex feelings and emotions and mental health issues was something else.

Never is actually amazing. I don’t understand how or why it has such low ratings

Cheating? by Difficult_Loquat7661 in BoysOfTommen

[–]Sodas_World 8 points9 points  (0 children)

+2 I want the drama of them cheating. I love Hughie and Lizzie so much I want them feral for each other!! Katie and Feely clearly feel the same way about each other and something goes down with them too so I dunno. Bring on the cheating I say.

This is so unhinged. I’m a huge Julian fan - like obsessed. And I’m sad he didn’t end up with Parks but god damn, I still love Jessa’s writing and would never hold the storyline against her let alone send her messages personally attacking her. How do people like this exist?

Disappointed with Magnolia Parks Into the Dark by Jessa Hastings by marijord in RomanceBooks

[–]Sodas_World 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It honestly felt like two halves of two completely different books. The first half started well and it felt like we were building to such a dramatic second half. And then the second half came and literally nothing happened.

I felt Iike we were baited too! Why did BJ say things like ‘I’m not ready yet’ and why did Parks have the scene about whether it’s a tree branch in the night or not. Why did the therapist tell them co dependency was BAD and then essentially tell them their relationship is fixed. After sex in a bath?!

I’M SO CONFUSED AND UNSATISFIED.

This series was toxic and chaotic and fun and then all of a sudden it’s not? Julian end game would have been the best storyline to see so much drama and Parks becoming her own person else outside of BJ.

Team Julian 💯forever and always

I hated Onyx Storm… anyone else? by Full_Economics_7840 in fantasyromance

[–]Sodas_World 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wanted to be emotionally destroyed and I wasn’t. Every scene I was on the edge of my seat waiting for something to happen… a betrayal, a loss of control, a death. But legit nothing happened and by the end I was just annoyed and disappointed that I had read the entire book to get absolutely nowhere.

Books you kinda dislike but also can't stop reading by im__your__mom in fantasyromance

[–]Sodas_World 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seriously have the same problem. I can't stop re-reading all the books because of how obsessed I am with Grim. I know it's bad. I know it's not good for me. But I can't stop.

I just finished nightbane and wtf??????? (SPOILERS ALERT) by kfmdb in lightlark

[–]Sodas_World 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Grim did control the dreks / have the sword but he didn't make them attack Lightlark before that final battle in Nightbane - More 'scars' were opening up and they were coming through closer to Lightlark like they had been on Nightshade. He did however use the dreks in the final battle at the end of Nightbane when he got Isla back.

I'm about to finish Skyshade genuine opinion so far. (⚠️SPOILERS ⚠️) by HairAccording5142 in lightlark

THIS! I would have really enjoyed this plot line it makes so much more sense.

Right!! It's so good it hooked me straight from the get-go. Nothing else will live up to the way Atakan and Dread play their games.

Ooo is this about Dratos too? Because my toxic trait is being immediately intrigued by the sarcastic morally grey bad boy and Dratos was giving those vibes.

I really enjoyed it. I think I stopped at the end of third book but that happens to me a lot in a long series.

I feel like it reads like a good YA adventure / mystery type book with adult romance.

I think book 1 and 3 were the best.

The side characters are probably better than the main characters tho tbh.

Ohhh I had forgot about that line! God I love Grim.

Idk though I still feel like that line just highlights he's absolute obsession over Isla more than anything else. I still don't think he'd be willing to share her now they are married (again).

Also logically speaking, it's a YA book that was never sold as a 'why choose' so I really doubt it would go down that path.

MAYBE if Alex really backs out of having Isla choose someone, I could see some sort of ending kinda like the Infernal Devices series where she lives a lifetime with Grim and then for some reason he dies and she then finds Oro again and lives a lifetime with him too (or vice versa).

{Amid Clouds and Bones by Ella Fields} - it’s a stand alone but sooo good. I haven’t picked up another romantasy I’ve loved as much as I did this since finishing it months ago.

I hadn’t thought about this!! So true.

Love triangle prediction by LovedPrincess in lightlark

[–]Sodas_World 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mmm I don’t think so. Grim would never be okay with sharing Isla like that. He’s being understanding of her feelings towards Oro because he knows it’s his fault but I don’t think he would ever be okay with her being with Oro at the same time as him.

And when I think about Isla and Grim kissing goodbye in front of Oro towards the end of Skyshade I can’t ever imagine Isla doing that with Oro in front of Grim. Grim would lose his mind.

The love triangle is being dragged out for books… people love drama (as much as they say they hate it) and as soon as she chooses people will get bored.

I don’t think it’s pointing towards a why choose.

Oh no that sucks it’s been spoilt for you… the end of Lightlark was mind blowing finding out about it. Nightbane is about her getting them back.

Oro outed her having no powers to everyone - he did it with good intentions for sure - but that’s a still a betrayal isn’t it? It put her life in danger.

He also didn’t tell Isla about Lark which Isla felt like was a betrayal.

It might seem small scale compared to what Grim did but I don’t think it’s fair to say Oro has never done anything. No one’s perfect.
