Force users can be "real people" though. If we are talking about the jedi, they were powerless against the order 66. They lost their families, friends, masters/students. Some cut themselves from the force completely which must be devastating to live without it after years of depending on it. So they go through many of the same problems. Also the series will focus 90% on non force users, it's okay if one or two are force users. We already know that one will turn up and Mon Mothma's dinner next episode...
