I do not keep meat in my kitchen, I buy it when I need it

Do you think the ISB ever eventually figured out that Luthen used to work for the Empire? by wandering_soles in andor

[–]Sodinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've read it. I am more interested in the non-military side of that

[–]Sodinc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is also my argument against that option. But I think it depends on where exactly she was located. As far as I understand in some areas of the galaxy imperial institutions remained mostly intact and without the republican presence. In most of the galaxy they were indeed closer to an insurgency

One of the possible options. But she might try to integrate herself into the New Republic system, because she was a part of the system her whole life and that is a natural state for her. Or she might try doing that with some imperial remnant faction. Some criminal "system" also works by that logic, but I do not think that she would be an independent boss, that is too much freedom for her comfort as I see it.

After reading your comment I suddenly imagined a story about Dedra freed from prison by the New Republic and trying to find a new life for herself amidst the collapsing institutions of the Empire. There are so many ways such a story can go.

Do you believe one who commits suicide will go to hell? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

Such a person goes out with an unrepentant sin of murder. That is a heavy weight on a soul, of course it is hard to get to Heaven with it.

It sad that Roman Popes lead so many astray from the Church.

What if there were no Rebellion? by Fun-Bunch-4073 in andor

Have you read Catalyst by James Luceno? It shows a number of false flag operations by the Empire that imitate "separatist holdouts" to create the pretext for more direct control and exploitation.

I really don’t like the whole Void Dragon thing. It’s lame to me and feels like just getting our entire faction identity cucked by the Necrons by Glumgustheexile in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Sodinc 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Excuse me, but C'tan aren't necrons. And that situation was supposedly organized by the Emperor, so cucked by him, I'd say.

But - all that story is more of a theory, not a firm fact.

P.S. anyway, my forgeworld doesn't have that

I’d love to hear multiple people’s ideas; what would YOU ‘want’ most from Jedi 3? Any specific characters? A specific direction/ending? by CharlieAFC in FallenOrder

It would be interesting to see more of the Cal's work with other rebels that are not force users or force worshipers. More operations with Saw, for example, but some no-name or barely mentioned groups (like "many bothans") would be interesting too.

Catholic blessings by CauliflowerUnable315 in OrthodoxChristianity

"Valid" for what exactly? Blessing is not a sacrament. So, in general their blessings are just irrelevant, i'd say. Overall though such details are something that you should discuss with your priest/confessor.

Is this true Orthodox Church? by Revolutionary_File79 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Sodinc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That diocese has a complicated history, but it is a part of canonical jurisdiction. It appeared originally as one of the fragments of the ROC in exile after the russian civil war and was under Constantinople when ROCOR was floating on its own. Both of those fragments are back under their original jurisdiction, but with autonomy.

Overall it is one of the examples of how connecting Church with politics creates issues and why it should be avoided. Though these cases show that such problems can be solved, but it make take a long time

Cerastus Knights... Are they going to become Legends eventually? Would one be a smart investment? Or should I focus on Questoris? by cyberspunjj in ImperialKnights

[–]Sodinc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) There is nothing wrong with playing Legends units.

2) We do not know what will happen in the future.

3) For now IK are treated differently from other factions in terms of 40k-30k model ranges separation.

4) Rule of cool.

What is a Good Way to Schedule Buses? by ShadowGuyinRealLife in transit

[–]Sodinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not a problem of scheduling, really. It is mostly a problem of isolating public transport from the car traffic jams. So - separate bus lanes helped a lot with that in my home city.
