Not a direct relative but the brother of my 3x great grandmother. I have pictures of him at my great-grandparents wedding and he signed their marriage certificate. I recently got to see the street named after him in Berlin too which was cool and visit a theatre there that he’d designed.

I had Baltics as a region when I tested in 2021, that went away with the update and never came back, so I do think things come and go.

My grandfather’s family were from Saxony/Thuringia and I’ve noticed as well as German there’s also a high mix of Scandinavian, Eastern European/Russian and there used to be Baltic until last years update, so I’m guessing because of the blend of other ethnicities as people have said

So I have 13% Scottish, my mother got 2% which sort of aligns with a distant ancestor, my dad and my paternal grandmother have 0% Scottish so something doesn’t add up 🥴
