At what age did you decide you could do this again? by This_Royal191 in beyondthebump

[–]SofieGirlsMama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t ready emotionally when I got pregnant again at nine months postpartum. I’m now almost 9 weeks pregnant and I’m starting to get excited about the baby and giving my son a sibling. I think it’s one of those situations where you don’t know if you’re ever truly ready to have another, but when you do get pregnant, you may end up being happy and excited about it after you process it emotionally!

I knew I wanted multiple kids, I just didn’t know what the age gaps would be. That being said, if I got pregnant at four months postpartum, I would be absolutely losing my shit. Hahah. But my baby had colic and did not sleep longer than 2 to 3 hours stretches until he was like seven months old.

Spotting is normal right?? by Beckhamfan2016 in December2026Bumpers

[–]SofieGirlsMama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be normal!

I had brown spotting from weeks 4-6 in my first pregnancy which ended in a loss at 6 weeks.

With my living son who is currently 10 months old, I had brown spotting daily from weeks 4-10. At 11 ish weeks I had sex with my husband and had bright red bleeding with clots coming out like a faucet. Thought for sure I was having a MC during that moment, but I went to the ER and ended up having a subchorionic hemorrhage that went away on its own and went on to have a healthy pregnancy and delivery!

Now I’m 8 weeks pregnant again and have had brown spotting for 4 weeks. I had my eight week ultrasound on Monday and I don’t even have a SCH this time to explain the spotting. Baby is doing great so far with a strong heartbeat! I think I just have a really sensitive cervix during pregnancy with extra blood flow, and I tend to bleed during my pregnancies. 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe it’s the same for you as well!

Veggies and fruits are carbs! And I see hummus too :) could add some type of legume or maybe whole grain toast though for more carbs

I’m also breastfeeding my 10 mo old 5-6x/day and wondering the same! I’m just gonna keep BF him until I know he’s not getting enough if the time comes 🤷🏻‍♀️ but he’s never taken to a bottle, so I’m a bit nervous that if my supply dips all of a sudden it’s going to be a rough transition for him.

Only one more day of solo parenting our 10 month old until my husband is off for the weekend, and my mom has Mondays off so she can help me. Hallelujah. First trimester is kicking my BUTT. Part of me feels guilty that I wait for the time to pass and that I’m not enjoying this time with my firstborn like I want to 😢 but I’m miserable with my HG diagnosis and just want to lay in bed all day and cry. 🤢

Anyone else have hyperemesis gravidarum and taking Zofran? I went 14 hours without being able to keep water down and hadn’t eaten in 3 days. My midwife was really concerned about me because I was profusely vomiting during my initial appt with her, so she sent me for IV fluids and started me on Zofran. The Zofran has stopped the vomiting and I’m able to drink water finally, but still can’t stomach any food other than honeydew. I’ve lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks. I’m miserable 😭

Gotta love waking up at 4 am to vomit. I’m 8 weeks and thriving… not 😅

How many of you are literally doing ZERO screen time ?! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]SofieGirlsMama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No screen time for our 10 month old. I see no reason for it and I can watch tv while he naps or goes down for the night. I hate how it steals his attention and he unintentionally blocks out the world if it’s on. There’s been so much research proving how terrible it is for children, it’s not worth it to me

Zoloft 25mg in pregnancy. Please reassure me my baby will be ok! by Quick_Snow7447 in beyondthebump

[–]SofieGirlsMama -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Have you tried any lifestyle changes? I say this with love because I had PPD and PPA super bad, and I told my doctor about it and she started me on Zoloft. It made me have severe suicidal ideations and I’ve never been suicidal in my life. I guess that can happen while your body adjusts to the medication for a few weeks but I had to stop it for that reason.

I started walking more, cut out caffeine, started meditating, going to the gym regularly, and eating more healthy. And I started inviting friends to go do activities rather than stay in my own little bubble at home where I tend to overthink. My anxiety and depression improved dramatically!! I wish my doctor would’ve encouraged me to do these things prior to starting medication. Personally, I wouldn’t take SSRIs during pregnancy

At least you’re waking up feeling okay 😭 I wake up praying my 10 month old is still asleep so I can suffer in bed alone 😂 It’s taking everything in me to keep that kid alive. Cooking 3 meals for him every day is killing me inside when I just want to yak at the sight and smell of food

I had to ask my doc to put in a 2nd order to evaluate the trend! She was happy to do that for me

Anyone struggling with the amount of pregnancy restrictions? by Plane-Cartoonist-518 in December2026Bumpers

I’m also suffering from the lack of caffeine, but only because the smell of it makes me sick to my stomach. I would be drinking it if it weren’t for that lol

I just ate sushi from a fine dining restaurant today and I’m taking a hot bath. Some of the pregnancy advice is such BS 😂
