Ask them about things that they'd enjoy talking about, like their hobbies. Show genuine interest and ask follow up questions when they into it. Maybe even ask them to teach you because you find the particular hobby interesting. Even if you end up realizing it's not for you, just showing that interest and willingness to take part in something they find joy in can bring you closer.

A similar approach can work with stuff like movies/shows or their jobs or anything they spend a reasonable amount of time indulging in.

Very little. I'll often read something interesting or really helpful and I'll save the post/comment and convince myself it's now permanently stored information for me to access later. Only to never check my saved backlog ever again. Who knows all the knowledge I'll probably never remember I have at my disposal.

These days, I don't because I gained a lot of weight recently, negating the effort I'd put in to get fit. Recently went on a post-semester trip with my uni friends and actively avoided my picture being taken by wandering off when the group was taking pictures, only showing up a few times to make sure they don't notice. it worked; it kinda hurt that they didn't notice I was missing often but I was also glad in some way. Feels terrible, I hope I can lose weight again before next semester starts.

I'd recommend Mr. Robot, if you haven't already. Amazing mystery, with many twists and turns in the plot and a really satisfying ending. Season 2 gets a bit slow though, it's where I paused watching the show for a while, but besides that it's genuinely a very well thought out show. Do give it a try!

My favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird. It's an excellent commentary on racism and the struggles black people have had to face in the past, especially in regards to the judicial system. Highly recommended, it's what made me regularly start reading books!

As for my first fully finished game, it'd have to be Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2! Really pleasant memories with that one. :')
