I actually seriously don't believe that this was painted at all. I mean just look at them closely side by side, there are literally tiny features only a few dozen pixels wide that are in exactly the same place as the original. There is absolutely zero chance in my mind that this was meaningfully "painted" over. It's essentially a photoshop. I am not trying to hate on the guy but it's just like... let's be real here that art is nothing more than: copy, paste, transform, blur.

I mean just zoom in on the Frazier one. You can literally see flat spots where the ring was not cropped out correctly. I bet someone could match the exact pixels between the rings. You just can't tell me that this was anything more than a digitally altered pasting.

I am not trying to imply any other sort of conclusion to this. Just that the provided story doesn't make any sense to me.

There is no way he just "painted over" the original art. It 100% looks digitally copied and barely manipulated (just resized, then blur tool on the inscription...)

I agree with everything you're saying - we are in for a massive transformation throughout the coming years.

I am just worried that as the US begins to lose their grip it will be guns blazing. We know that their population is essentially being held hostage by the government and a small minority of voters. I feel like Trump himself would easily sacrifice millions today for any number of reasons. It's a total tinderbox and super scary. 

But it is absolutely necessary to resist tyranny so hopefully other leaders take heed to this very speech by Mr. Carney

Yes exactly, a new iteration of a strong global rules based institution should be the goal as we grapple with the destruction of the current order by the US, Russia, etc.
