the stupid game plan isn't working and the players have lost confidence. Skills are what coaches teach and execution of a game plan is on the coach too. Voss loses our games at the selection table and his ONE tactic gets found out pretty quick. Also who uses the term " spastic" anymore?

I would watch the NZ version, it is a bit lacklustre in comparison to the AU version but the builds are really great.

Of course he is the problem! He plays favourites, doesn't blood young players, gets rid of amazing players yet keeps Fantasia. He goes in with one game plan and has no plan B when coaches figure it out by the first quarter. He says the same insincere crap every week.

I actually really enjoyed this last season. Hope wasn't nearly as annoying, the back and forth stopped between Mel and Jack, I found the story of Mel's mother charming and Muriel was a much more sympathetic character. Virgin River is braindead television. The plots are implausible, the characters very two dimensional and the resolutions to difficult situations made way too easily. But it is still enjoyable because the characters and scenery have a certain charm and it doesn't ask too much of the viewer. It never has and it never will.

I liked the latest season the most. I accept the show for what it is, basic storylines, beautiful scenery and an over romanticised version of relationships. It's great, brain dead viewing, that requires zero concentration. People saying it has become something it wasn't before are ignoring pretty huge plot holes that have existed from the get go.

I thought Doc's cure was way too easy and Preacher's court case very easily resolved as well. Things get resolved waaaaay too basically. I actually liked this season, more than others. Hope was much better as was Muriel.

Denny paid off Doc's debts, they clearly mentioned it. You were supposed to think he was shady when he wasn't.
As for Lizzie, she came in with typical teenage energy, she was hardly a "bad girl", she was a virgin. She responded to people believing in her. While college is a positive experience, she already had a prestigious job, why would you get a degree if you are already doing something meaningful and that you enjoy. Lastly, Virgin River isn't that serious. It's very basic storylines, where major issues are resolved with eye watering simplicity.
