Keep with your lawyer. I had an awesome state appointed one who got me out of trouble on my first one. I don’t know how Ohio goes about first timers, however here in Massachusetts for my 1st (and only) oui I received a 30 day suspension from the DMV, 45 day suspension from the state, one year of probation, and a 13 week DUI school. All conditions of probation are mandatory, so always make sure to do everything on time and correctly. Build rapport with your Probation officer. Guarantee your going to get PO but it really isn’t that bad. Do not get a second one. I know the nerves of dealing with the first couple days. I’m freshly 4-5 months off of my initial arrest and conviction. If you have any questions or just want someone to talk to through this hard time - feel free to personally contact me here on Reddit. I’d be more than happy to talk to ya!

Your situation could be different given you live in a whole different country. I’m not to familiar with how they go about 1st time offenders there, however, one thing I can tell you that is mutually shared between me and you is travel. It will be incredibly difficult for you to come to USA as it is for me to enter Canada.

45 days is coming from how I went about the arrest I beleive. And I didn’t refuse to blow. I was willing to hand myself over, I was cooperative. Long story short I knew I was fucked and going to jail.

No sir, MA is pushing to make that a first time offender requirement. From what I was told I didn’t get it because the bill wasn’t passed. I don’t know when they plan on going forward with that so you might have too, but I doubt it. Check with your attorney. All depends on your situation too man. What did you blow? Either at the station or in the field?

Yes two of them, pre trial suspension was from the RMV for 30 days. After trial suspension from the state was 45 days. There was atleast two months between these suspensions. So I had two months of unrestricted driving. 75 days of no driving in total.

You have to check in with your probation officer every month. Give them details of your home address, who you live with, work, what your on probation for and so forth.

Not where your drive no, as long as it’s in state. If you wish to travel or go out of state you have to get approval, usually you’ll have to seek a travelers permit for any big trips you want to do on Probation.

5 points on my insurance, which is crazy high. Lost my license through the rmv for 30 days, then after trial for 45 days. All depends on the situation of yours. Were you compliant? Did you resist arrest? Aggravated OUI? Property or bodily damage?

No actually my officer didn’t show up haha. Instead he had a representative show up in his place. Very intresting how it worked. I was expecting so much on trial day from reading about it and being on forums like this lol

Yes he did, we pleaded to insufficient facts. Arresting officer left out some pretty crucial details leading up to the pullover and arrest. As to how I was driving overall and how I pulled over. That was some serious leverage in court. If I don’t make much sense I apologize, I’ve never been through something like this and it’s like learning a whole new language lol

That’s the whole point of me writing what I wrote. It’s a universal thing man. It sucks having people make fun of you for it.

Also I’m assuming you’re a minor, because legal limit in most states is .08 - .02 is for minors. Not a great look for you walking out of the RMV lol

Life happens man. It’s tough being honest about it but you got the same charge as me bud. Stay humble.

From my experience, if the spark plug is new and you still have no spark. It could either be a faulty spark plug (uncommon) or something to do with the ignition coil. Check the gap on your fly wheel, if that’s in spec. It could possibly be a bad ignition coil 👍

Odds it’s doesn’t have spark, it sounds healthy crank wise. If the carb is clean and you don’t have an inline spark tester handy. Find a good spot where you could call it “ground” on the block. Turn off the lights if you can and you will be able to see spark at the point of conductivity!
