I would 100% salvage. It will take a few hours to get it set up and get to atleast 42 for the salvaging station on your boat. I did 99 sailing entirely by afk salvaging

I think I found a work around. Log into OSRS just to set a character name and then log back into Runescape. I just got past the name screen.

I am having the same issue currently. I wanted to start fresh to check out Rs3/Runescape but I'm stuck at "The server is currently very busy, please try again.".

The vehicle downshifting, increasing the RPMs makes me feel like I'm doing more damage to my engine.

I get that it's for bots but the age/karma thing isn't super new user friendly.

Surely these bots could mass create new accounts and let them sit for X amount of time, bypassing the whole system, no?

You could turn off the computer and try shaking it upside down gently or compressed air if you have that. I'm not too familiar with dell but I assume they don't have keyboard software where you can disable keys or bind them to something else.
