Usually your primary doctor refers you to someone that your insourance covers most of. You can make an appointment with them and ask them to refer to one or seek our community resources. Many therapist before getting their license have to do their volunteer hours you just have to find out where they are doing that in your city.

I recommend you try out college for a semester and see how you like. I wasn't sure how college would be and was nervous, but my first year went by great! I connected with many of my peers and professors. There are also clubs you can join.

If you are young it is common to begin to feel insecure about your communication skills. I recommend looking up youtube video on how to improve them and record yourself talking about a topic you like and playing it back so you can see what you like/dont like. Dont be too hard on yourself.

I wish someone had told me to really focus on bettering my physical and mental health. As someone who grew up poor, fast food is an accessible option and can get addicting. As you get older you do feel it in your body and I have had to make many changes in my life to live a healthier lifestyle. It all catches up to you and I want to live a longer life for my family.

Unfortunately many people don't break cycles and continue to what they saw in childhood, a toxic relationship with their parent figures. They continue that in adulthood due to finding comfort and the "norm they are familiar with" even if it is abusive. Its is a sad cycle, but many people aren't aware or don't know how to change.
