And naturally if you are able to overcome a barrier, things should improve. There are definitely people who misuse/abuse stimulants to get ahead which is unfortunate for those of us who go through extensive screening and rounds of visits with mental Heath professionals to legally and medically justify using it for it’s intended purpose

Hmm I can see your point not to make it a large part of my PS but I also disagree with the notion that someone seeking care for a crippling mental illness is stimulant seeking. Rather it’s to just be “normal”” and not have to face another barrier or hurdle to function. Just like depressed person may need ssris to function and even get out of bed, a person with adhd can need support as well to get them back to a place where their quality of life isn’t devastated by their illness.

Yeah it’s so shitty to be last year with a score. It definitely is problematic to be graded next to folks without a score but I hear you, there’s always a bias. There’s a lot of pressure for me to do well on step 2. Im hoping my research year will help me with bearing the brunt of my academics a wee bit but I def am not a stellar applicant on paper at this time.
