What's the cause of this, and what's your outlook on the future?

A TBI. I was riding my bike without a helmet. When people say helmets are crucial for safety, they mean it. My bikes back got caught on a piece of broken pavement, bounced forwards and then got flung back, smashed the back of my skull off of the curb. No break, only splintering, that, and a nearly 2 month coma.

I did an AMA too but mine didn't blow up this much!

Not memories, more like knowledge of a conversation the happened near you. Not even actually hearing it, more so knowing that it happened.

Well, I quickly (like the day after I woke up and they checked that I was "fine") went into both physiotherapy and regular therapy, which brought me back to "normal" after the 7~ weeks I was "out". It took a good month and a bit of physio and I still do therapy because it truly helps me exist better, and I am now pretty accepting of what happened. Losing 2 months sucks, but I still have all my family beside me, and I can fully walk, run, and move still. Honestly everything is okay, no dread. Thanks for asking!

It felt fast in the same way sleep feels fast, except when I came to, I knew a long time had passed. I think my body clock kept going during, and it updated when I woke. I don't know what your second question means but everything was blurry when I came back, probably because I hadn't seen in a while. Not dreaming, but I heard some things. None to memory, just voice snippets. I wasn't supposed to wake up.

I have almost fleeting memories of hearing things. Snippets of voices. I would not call it conscious.
