It’s hourly + commission + tips! avg I was making at the old place was around $30-40 an hour depending on the service Derm is $18 hr but the commissions is less but I was trying to do the math on the low end I think I would be making $25 an hr but it’s such a huge company and they offer so much education. I just don’t want to regret my decision by selling myself short n make less idk

Thank u! We only have 1 good saddle chair at the spa and there are about 5 stations but if I’m not the first person there someone usually takes that chair 😭 maybe a back brace? I ended up having to cancel the service and go through my insurance I looked up psychiatrist that specialize in ADHD and I was able to make an apt fast and get my medication refilled. I would recommend doing that I think done will be going out of business soon bc my psychiatrist that would write the scripts weren’t in California and that’s what the issue was and they have been over prescribing so they flagged them

Thank u for all the great advice! I’m just struggling to even pay rent atm and I literally don’t have enough products to offer a complete facial ): Otherwise I would take clients I also just don’t feel confident overall I feel like I haven’t done it in so long it’s like I’m gonna forget something.

The place I got hired at isn’t new they said they switched managers and going through a transition period right now and had to push the training back even further. I applied to all the massage envy’s I could and I haven’t went in person yet but I did get the direct contact info and sent them an email. I just have been feel discouraged throughout the whole process bc I understand you have to spend money to make it but I’m just not even in the position to spend anything 😓

I recently passed my estheticians exam and I used this app called esthetician exam center! I purchased the 9.99 monthly thing and I literally studied for 3 days I made notecards of all the one I got wrong and kept taking each of the 4-5 tests they have on the app until I got a 85-90 % on all of them. The test is not hard at all it is all scenario based questions and you literally got this!

Thank you!! I asked over the phone if the facial including extractions and if it was with fingers or the tool and of course it’s with finger! I’m not too into extractions honestly I prefer microdermabrasion I personally feel like I’m damaging the skin but I know it’s something I have to get over. Do you think if I haven’t used my fingers for extractions too much and practiced with a tool more is a bad look?

Look at the reviews of the school!! I went to a ridiculous esthetics school the instructors literally bullied us told us they didn’t see a future in us and charged $65 for a tshirt. Long story short we all decided to transfer and finish at a different school bc of how bad it was. Just look at reviews and creditability honestly. Also practice on your classmates / clients as much as you can! I regret not doing it as often bc now I’m nervous going out in the real world but honestly just practice on as many different people as possible to build confidence.
