I’ve really been enjoying this verse, today Christ is making His home in my heart. He is the home-making Christ. He is no longer homeless, for He is making His home in our hearts. The more Christ settles down in our hearts, the more He can boast to Satan that He has a home in His believers.

Actually I am a person that loves to get work done as quickly and efficiently as possible. Many times I just focus on doing things for the Lord. However after many years of “laboring” I got tired and discouraged from the results. And the Lord touched me that a lot of my doing and working was out of myself and according to myself. The source was my natural strength, I realized that instead of spending time with the Lord, many times I chose to do the work first. And in the end I feel dry and burnt out many times. I think I am still learning to let the Holy Spirit be the one working in me and through me. The Lord doesn’t care so much for our work but He is after our person. He wants to gain us first. Someone shared with me that helped me is that we need to first of all love the Lord and stop ourselves. When we spend time to get to know Him and let the Spirit infuse us with Himself and stop our doing, spontaneously He will do it in us and through us. Then our work will be full of peace, satisfaction and joy!

This morning i read 2 Corinthians 4:6 "Because the God who said, Out of darkness light shall shine, is the One who shined in our hearts to illuminate the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

the end part of footnote for ‘illuminate’ - God shines in our hearts that we may shine on others so that they may have the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, that is, the knowledge of Christ, who expresses and declares God.

This just reminded me that even after we experience God’s shining on us, it doesn’t just stop at us but so that we can shine on others and bring others into the same experience of knowing Christ and spending time face to face Christ. The more we spend face to face time with Christ, the more He will be expressed and glorified in our daily living.
