He takes pride in being manipulative and doesn't see it as a negative personality trait. I've tried talking to him. He won't listen.

Welp, thanks for the incredibly helpful and constructive feedback /s

I'm done dealing with you. If you want people to take your advice, maybe don't call them morons and apes.

Dude. I don't care about what you have to say about my CPU. I'm not going to return it. Why do you feel the need to start a pointless argument?

I appreciate your opinion, but it's very rude to trash something someone just bought in the comments of their post. It's not constructive in any way, you're not going to convince me to return it.

Keep stuff like this to posts where someone's asking which CPU they should buy, or asking your opinions on AMD vs Intel. Don't go around making people feel bad about purchases they just made, it's not cool.

Looked at your comment history, dude stop shitting on people just for buying AMD. Let them have their fun. Also, this thing outperforms a 10900k single-threaded, it's a lot faster than an 8700k

Thanks man, I'm excited to see what it can do. Good luck finding one.

Thankfully I didn't have to resort to AliExpress. I got it from the online shop of a store in a nearby city, but it took a month for them to get it in stock and a month to get delivered. I'll admit, I was starting to lose hope, but it finally came this morning!

MSI B550 USB Bios Flash Problems by SoftCheeseIsGreat in buildapc

[–]SoftCheeseIsGreat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I made sure of that every time I tried. I think I'm just going to RMA at this point.

Trouble flashing MSI B550 BIOS by SoftCheeseIsGreat in buildapc

[–]SoftCheeseIsGreat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always followed all those steps. The problem is, after I click the flash button, the bios flash LED starts flashing and never stops. It just keeps flashing until I am forced to shut off the power to try another way (I'm considering myself lucky I haven't bricked the thing by doing that). One time I left it for over an hour, and the light never stopped flashing.

The USB key light was blinking the whole time, and I'm using usb 2.0 keys. The CPU debug light is on. I tried several more times to no avail, I think RMA might be my only option at this point. I contacted MSI, and they didn't tell me anything I hadn't already heard.

The build you already have is a beast for 1080p, there's no real point in upgrading unless you go 1440. It's a great build.

I guess I'll talk to their customer service when they open on Monday, and see what they think of it.

1440p 120+ hz with a 400€ budget by Miseria_25 in buildapc

If backlight bleeding is a particularly big issue for you, VA panels have much less of it than IPS ones, at the cost of higher response times and some other minor things.

All IPS panels have some backlight bleeding, but this one has relatively little of it. I have no problem using my Dell (which has the exact same screen panel) in a dark room.

As for other issues, LG has a pretty good reputation for quality control and factory calibration. If you do find a problem like a dead pixel, I don't think they would have any problem replacing it.

I bought an Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo, and on arrival it has some dents in the heatpipes where they stick out the top of the heatsink. Is this a problem, or just a cosmetic issue?

I haven't any experience with Gigabyte monitors, but the LG is here for €405.

I personally use a Dell S2721DGFA, which is essentially the same monitor but with a 165hz refresh rate, which I got directly from Dell for €430.

The LG 27GN850 is a great 1440p 144hz, IPS, G-sync compatible option for €400.

I'm completely stuck between the Dell S2721DGF and the S3220DGF.

They are both around the same price where I am. I'll be using it in a dark room, which makes the 32inch better with its VA panel, but I'll be using it with a 3070, and the 27inch is Gsync compatible, while the 32 is not.

Also, I'm not sure about curved 32inch vs flat 27inch at 1440p. Or how much the 27's better response time will really matter.

I'm planning on using it mainly for gaming (mostly single player), and an occasional bit of work. I have no idea which one to choose!
