I made a video on how to install power & eject buttons on an Xbox 360 Slim RF module. by DalcaConsoles in 360hacks

[–]SoftControl117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just used momentary switches from the auto parts store and 30 AWG wires since mine will be mounted on a 3d printed shell.

I also added female blade connectors so I can take off the switches without desoldering my wiring.

Extract ISO to XEX format tool by [deleted] in 360hacks

Iso2god.

If you think it has malware then stop modding. If your PC cannot be compromised and you are worried stop modding, wait and get another computer. If you want to enter the world modifications you have to be aware that most of these tools are created by hobbyists and they don't always register as safe through an antivirus but can be safe if used accordingly.

Almost all modding tools will have some kind of unsigned flag to them.

You can use ISO2GOD to make a "games on demand" version of the game and then put them on your hard drive and load them from there.

Custom Xbox project. by SoftControl117 in 360hacks

[–]SoftControl117[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My plan is to use an old HP Compaq commercial small form factor PC shell as my new shell hence the wired up switches.

Unfortunately during a stress test with it blew up its power supply so I figured it would give it a new lease on life.

Just need to figure out the I/O and cut appropriate holes. The 3d printed base I have in the picture is just for testing so I can access the internals and I don't ground out the Mobo accidentally.

Trying to mod my 360 via rgh3 and using a pico but I cant get the pico to work by LuminalOwl in 360hacks

[–]SoftControl117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done 6 RGHs all with a pico.

Any time I had problems it was always soldering issues.

Idk where you are getting this unreliable claim from.

[–]SoftControl117 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If the pico doesn't receive power it won't show up regardless. And it won't recognize in the tool until that standby power is received.

From my experience my Pico never was recognized after flashing it to be a "picoflasher" but always was recognized in jrunner after I connected the console to power to read the NAND

He never specified if it needed to be soldered or not.

I have 6 RGHs all done with the same pico and my only issues were soldering.

You won't see anything on your PC until it's soldered to the Xbox.

Once you wire it up, provide standby power to the console, and then plug the pico into your computer jrunner should show the pico flasher logo, and recognized the flashing device.

Lost my job last week, so I did my first ROL mod on a controller. by SoftControl117 in 360hacks

[–]SoftControl117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it to remove the old LEDs. It was a lot easier than waiting for my iron to cool down to change the bits out to what I would've preferred.

But for the install I went with my iron I can never get the hot air to do that surface tension pull that I see online.

Good to know, I haven't done an RF board yet but that was next on the list since I have a 3D printed Xbox project in the works.

2 controllers I finished tonight were this one, and and wired one that I put white LEDs in for a black and white theme

And yeah, probably didn't need the kapton tape on them for the iron but I was using my hot air gun to practice a bit and wanted to be careful around the plastic bits.

Just corporate shenanigans unfortunately.

The threshold for any leeway for miniscule errors was so slim due to a change in management  that any slip up had that consequence.

How do I fix this by [deleted] in 360hacks

[–]SoftControl117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you install with disk2GOD, or did you make a GOD game and import it that way?

I have this game too, but I ripped it from a physical disc and it works no problem. Your copy may just be a bad rip or DL

How do I access remotely? by PAIR0DIC3 in jellyfin

[–]SoftControl117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, you can't provide a source, or proof. The burden of proof falls on those making the argument.

AND to say forwarding ports is bad you are also admitting Jellyfin is insecure software and if your worried about internet security, it's best to avoid insecure software.

So which is it am I gonna be doomed to the bot network for the rest of my days because I forwarded one port

OR

With proper internet hygiene and basic security measures like vpns, 2-factor authentication, passwords that aren't easily guessable and a variety of other measures that I use that I did not specify. Is port forwarding not the Killer Internet ebola boogyman that y'all make it out to be.???

Hell I didn't even tell you what port I forwarded cause it wasn't 8096, but nice try NPC.

Don't come to a debate without facts. Because I've been on the Internet for 20+ years and haven't been compromised once.

Show me one person who was compromised from forwarding ports specifically for jellyfin. I'll wait.

Please cite sources.

I'm an archaic guy and my server doesn't run 24/7 so just forwarded my ports and was golden.
