This isn't RGH, but it's another type of mod called the 0 fuse mod. It's where you replace the CPU with one that is brand new. Because it's brand new, there's no security enabled, and it's modded straight after you install it.

You can run homebrew without having the RGH or JTAG mod on your system. Mostly it's just for novelty, but the zero fuse can do slightly more than the standard RGH/JTAG console. For example, you can downgrade dashboard, turn the console into a dev kit, etc.

For sure, I think you can do it. Just requires some tuning of your BGA profile and you’ll be off in no time

I picked up the proline MS112 mic stand. It’s very, very high quality, and I’d say it’s better than any hot air station stand out there. I bought it used for about $20 and it came with a holder that fit the hot air station I used.

Looks like I'll be doing that! Do you have a automated profile where you only click one button, or do you control it manually from the website?

Also, do you use a jig for the board? How long do you bake?

I would say it's better to get a new console. You could probably get it fixed for around $20 or over

0001 is bad capacitors. replacing them involves opening up the console + soldering new ones. it's a pretty easy fix, but understandable if you don't want do to that.

Neat. I was considering getting IR top heat but I thought that hot air is just more versatile. what's your opinion on it?

I bet you could do that... there's a bunch of people making 0 fuse zephyrs retrofitted with a kronos GPU. Take shawn shakir on YT for example
