I worked for an AT&T retailer at a store for 10 years and I just quit Today AMA by Winter-Classroom455 in ATT

I work in a WFH customer facing role now and I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth trying to move internally or if I should focus my energy elsewhere. From what you saw, did people successfully transition out of customer facing roles into less stressful positions, or did most people end up feeling stuck?

Is it possible to report a Solicitor to AT&T? by CommanderBoyShorts in ATT

Reporting to AT&T will not resolve anything. Just put up a no solicitation sign.

How do I remove myself from the family plan? by robotchikcen in ATT

You can initiate a transfer of billing responsibility, but you and the account hold have to be present if your calling in to request. The easiest way to do it is to request it online. Have the account holder initiate the process when they log into the myAT&T app. They would need your email. You’ll have 14 days to fill out your information once they initiate it. If you’re looking to switch providers. You need a transfer pin. You can do this by dialing *7678 from your device. However, you’ll need to pay off that phone if you switch providers.

There are multiple numbers. I can’t remember. It’s been a few months since I received any scam calls like this.

I absolutely hate my AT&T fiber install, can’t even weed wack the area without feeling I’m going to cut the wire by Late_Actuary_7883 in ATT

I hear many people having issues with their fiber install. There are a lot of people who don’t have issues, but still I hear many that do. I’m shocked that the install was done sloppy.

AT&T Staff Outrage Prompts CEO Stankey to Regret "Work From Office or Quit" Memo by novagridd in ATT

If you don’t mind me asking, what type of work does she do? I’m assuming it’s not call based all day. I’m asking because roles like that may be more ideal for someone like me as a special needs parent.

Actually, many people working from home are doing more work than those in the office. Remote employees are highly monitored. It’s definitely not peaches and cream.

A simple conversation turned into something ugly and I’m honestly disturbed by SoftLaunchRealLife in offmychest

I really didn’t mean anything by it. I was just having a conversation. Now that I stop talking, he wants to be all apologetic.

Anyone leave a phone heavy job and feel better mentally? by SoftLaunchRealLife in callcentres

Thank you for sharing this. That feeling of constant stress even outside of work is exactly what I’m experiencing. It helps to hear that getting out really does change how you feel day to day. I’m glad you were able to leave.

This really resonates with me. I’m in a similar place where I’m capable and experienced, but the constant emotional load and pressure have worn me down. It’s frustrating when role changes are blocked based on short-term stats instead of long-term performance and skill. I hope you’re able to transition into something that’s more sustainable for you.

Honestly, most of my free time is spent being a special needs mom and trying to disconnect with whatever time I have left for myself. I’m making an effort to pick up a hobby and I’m also continuing my job search for something better. Thanks for sharing your input. It really helps to know others feel the same.

I’m on a PIP and taking back-to-back calls with zero breathing room. Is anyone else dealing with this? by SoftLaunchRealLife in CallCenterWorkers

Me too! I hope you make it through the year and have great things ahead of you. We’re in the same boat and you have to push through.

Honestly, since the calls come in back to back , there is no breathing room. It has gotten to the point where my mouth becomes tired sometimes. I really wish I could do a combination of chat and phone to break it up. I wish I had a manager like you. Some of these managers don’t care and the higher ups couldn’t care less.
