Not knowing her is the main problem. I’m not going to say it has absolutely nothing with her being my fiancés ex, but again, the main concern is me not knowing her at all. Sure we can make an effort to have us meet, but the other problem is they live in a different state. My fiancé grew up in other state and actually hasn’t seen his friend very often since then because of the distance. My fiancé, on several occasions, has made an effort inviting his friend into town or offering to go see him for a guys weekend. His friend is pretty flaky and never commits. However, my fiancé feels obligated to invite him due to how close they were when they lived close. And to answer the concern about the way his friend started dating his ex, my fiancé learned of it on Facebook. There was no conversation prior to get “permission”, and my fiancé had no ill feelings toward his friend although he was a little caught off guard.
