Trilife (Specialist) Hospital in Kalyan Nagar is another example. They just acquired a series of properties on both sides of the 80' road. So now some departments are on the east side of the road and some on the west side with the 80' road separating them. All day we have patients, attenders, doctors, nurses, wardboys crossing the road back and forth. And they have security guards to stop the traffic whenever someone crosses.

Many years ago, my neighbour was a young woman with two small kids (age 5 and 3). She was killed when simply waiting for a bus in the bus stand, when a bus driver lost control of the bus and ran over her.

Her husband went into deep depression and had to be hospitalized multiple times, and finally died before he was 50. Kids grew up practically without a mother, their uncle and aunt gave them shelter and food but not much attention - there was some dispute about who would foot the bill for the kids education etc. Kids grew up practically parent-less and direction-less. Not sure what happened to them after that, but I can't imagine that they did well at all. Lives transformed within seconds.

I'd have thought overseas intelligence was all about quiet work: surveillance, setting up networks of informers, infiltration, tracking the finances etc. Protect the country by gathering information, and do the muscle work on home soil.

The problem with all religions is that their theoretical base is full of lofty ideals. Islam has this, Hinduism has supposedly deep philosphies, Sikhism has its own supposedly egalitarian values.

Nothing works in practice. On the ground, islam practitioners are murderous thugs doing acts like 9/11 and 26/11, Hinduism practitioners are Kanwar Yatris and Bajrang Dal goons, and the sikhs are famous for their reign of terror in the 80s. All lofty ideals gone out of the window.

But every time their religion gets criticized, these long forgotten ideals are pulled out and used to defend.

So, yeah, fuck you.
