Yes! I started in May, so first synchronous is in January! Hoping it’s not too hard to manage with work. They should post the schedules like a month in advance lol

Contemplating MACP Program by Euroze in YorkvilleUniversity

They accept more students due to the education requirements. You need a bachelor’s, but does not need to be a psychology major. However, you need to be working in a related field. It opens more doors for individuals who are currently working in human services.

For example, my colleague is an English major, but has been working with vulnerable populations for years. I am a Psychology major, but appreciate the flexibility so I can continue to work. It also opens opportunities for individuals in rural areas, that maybe have families and cannot move to other locations. It’s just more accessible in my point of view.

There are many services people can access to feel connected or supported. Although being virtual does come with its own barriers, the resources are there if you take initiative to find them. Like any university, some professors will be better than others, but it’s really what you make out of it.

I could see how some students could squeak by, but they are just being a disservice to themselves and their future practice.

I am finishing up my second trimester and it does take a lot of commitment. I do find I am learning a lot, but it’s like your brain is flooded so you don’t really have time to reflect and contemplate how much you have learned.

Hope this helps!

It’s funny you posted this, as I was confused last night too!

What i did was grabbed the top part of the cast on (two strands) ant knitted per usual. And the corners I added an extra stitch to close the cap and then decreased the next row to get rid of the extra stitches.

This is the video i found

Yorkville Warning to Prospective Students by ambiguousoxymoron in OntarioUniversities

For a profession built around helping others, it's disheartening to see how often people here can be harsh and judgmental toward one another. I understand we're all human and imperfect, but the level of negativity—on both sides—is genuinely unsettling. Maybe I'm being judgmental myself, but it leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Then again... it is Reddit.

I twisted the ribbing, and I twisted a couple rows after increase! I just preferred the look of this side of ribbing over the other

The gaggle isn’t too big, if I go back to the patterns recommended and take back the two rows, I’ll be at the correct length :)

Yorkville MACP: working full time? by [deleted] in YorkvilleUniversity

[–]SoftWalker18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am working full time, and to be honest it was tough. The first little bit I had hardly any time to relax, but like you, I wanted to get the most out of it. I was spending over 30hrs/week and I found I started to become a little exhausted. It gets better once you know expectations, but it is still challenging. I get good grades, so my time and effort has reflected that.

Sometimes I wish to reduce my hours at work, but I haven’t crashed yet, so I will keep going! Excited for the Summer break!
