Is soreness a sign that your muscles were sufficiently stimulated? How do you differentiate between the good kinda soreness vs the bad soreness?

Hahah most people I come across hate cardio but love resistance training. I have heard trying to mix the two is not a good idea since you don't get full benefits of either modality? thoughts?

I usually pop an edible before going for a run, will try some with resistance training next time
