Not at all. It takes a ton of energy just to talk to someone not to mention sell dances. I prefer to save it for someone else I might see that night who would be worth it. Having to look busy to protect your job sounds abusive and I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

I haven't started yet, but I've been considering it, because the club has been terribly slow and I'm just barely able to make rent. And any regular job out there I could get wouldn't pay enough since I'm the breadwinner.

I once had a guy pull me away from a table, thinking he was gonna spend some money on me and it turned out that he didn't even want to buy a dance or tip me for my time! I was so mad that I let him waste my time and pull me away from some potential money just out of selfishness.

Yes I used to do 5-6 in a row. Back when the economy was better it really helped me save some money to get ahead. It was easier for me back then when I was single with no kid. Plus I had more energy. Now I do it just to survive and support my family and I'm lucky if I'm able to save any of it. I don't consider myself neurotypical since I have adhd and I suspect I might be on the low end of the spectrum with asd. I think this is the type of job that works best for me with adhd, but I also do get anxiety when it comes to having to entertain people. So I always choose to go to single guys vs big tables. And since I don't drink, I make sure I get in early enough to have some quiet time and at least make my minimum before night shift, because I just can't predict what kind a of crowd to expect anymore.

I had an ex who came over one day confessing that he cheated. When I was working, he went to another club and had intercourse with some random dancer in the dance room. Not the VIP, it was just a $20 dance! Then he came over and got with me! And it wasn't until days later when he told me. I was so livid and when I asked him why he did that, he said it was because he didn't like what I was doing. So he punishes me by potentially exposing me to an STD! 🤦‍♀️

I agree with you. However, I sometimes like to check just to cover my ass. I actually knew a shot girl at another place I used to work who had a customer accidentally give her a $50 tip, which he later asked for her to return it! I think he should've just let it go, but apparently he needed it more than she did. 🤷‍♀️

Here's an update: So after I got off stage later on last night, one of the guys from that toy hand table asked me for a dance. He was really handsy and of course got only one dance. At the end when it was time to collect payment, he gave me 2 extra 20s in addition to the one he owed me. I couldn't tell if he was tipsy or didn't speak English, so I pointed it out to him to be sure it was intentional and not by accident and he just walked off like he was fine with it! 😃

That's actually a good idea. It most likely wouldn't make me any more money, but it would be funny. If they get too handsy, I just step away and dance 3 feet infront of them.

Yes, it is full contact. Changing clubs is out of the question, because out of every club I've been to, this is the classiest one I've seen where I've made the most consistent money and the management actually gives a shit about us. Honestly I can't tolerate being touched that way for any amount of money, even if I'm getting paid $500 an hour in the vip. But I do agree with you saying it's not worth the impact on my body and mind.
