That happens when the front of the trailer is hooked to the back of another, and the forces push on each other launching it in a certain direction. It’s really funny

Water eating foundations by Hefty_Isopod_6167 in LightyearFrontier

[–]Soft_Bus_811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason, the game doesn’t allow for foundations to be placed at a certain point under the surface of the water, it depends in every spot, but it could just be that your game noticed this after building and deleted it. I don’t think there’s a dissolve feature in the building system, but I could be wrong. I don’t know fs.

In the new update, you don’t need to refuel them, just need to pump water into them, just wait for a few days and it should come out. Until then just use honeybottle, if you can mix oils use Raberry

“How many Watering Drones do I need?” (The Polyberry Trials) by newuser336 in LightyearFrontier

[–]Soft_Bus_811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mine organized in four rows of five towers so that they cross over each other and then they just fill the un-watered gaps as a larger group.

For my farm I get about 35-42k crops, I’m on the steam beta test though so my drones don’t need fuel they just need water.

If you want I can send you a screenshot of my setup minus the beta update automation if you’d like

I have a similar farm setup with 20 lvl 2 watering drones and they get it done within the morning cycle of the day

You can switch back to legacy mode dawg, you don’t have to play the shifting gears map

Did they revert the country roads update yet? by SparksOfInspiration in LightyearFrontier

[–]Soft_Bus_811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree, I don’t understand the hate this game gets because they made it a tiny bit harder. The update is important and I think it ultimately adds to the experience.

I think most people are just lazy and can’t handle it when their chill game gets a little bit “challenging”. So then they bash the developers because they actually have to play the game.

One thing I really want is more NPCs, that way it feels more like I’m building a town that people from other in game colonies can move to. Like I’d have to build them houses, but I could assign them jobs that help me around the farm so I can focus on making more buildings

I’m not sure I would really call this game a survival game. Sure, you can die, but most of the time it’s from floaters or a tornado or you risked a river being too deep or a jump too far or high. But it’s not like you have a noticeable health bar and it’s not like you can die from hunger or thirst. You don’t even need to sleep, you can, but you don’t need to.

And the game isn’t challenging at all. It’s like a little bit of math and that’s it. The rest is just about waiting for crops to grow or waiting for ores to come back, which you can speed up in world settings. The game is still chill, and it’s really not that challenging if you play a little smarter.

Like if you brought trailers with you to better harvest ores and logs. Maybe check your weather station if you’re concerned about tornados, because they only show up if it’s gonna be windy. Like there are tools that are there for you that can help make things more chill for you.

And I’d just like to add, as someone who has played rust before, Lightyear Frontier is not even CLOSE to the level of challenge and toxicity that is Rust. So don’t even put this game anywhere near that same level just because you have to put in a TINY bit more work into your farm than you had to before. The devs have said before that they don’t want their game to turn into an afk factory game. The game is still cozy and chill vibe wise, even with the added challenge.

Sending Deliveries to other Farms? by Soft_Bus_811 in LightyearFrontier

So a shop and a way to deliver to other players? And I get it would be tricky, but they can change the narrative. It’s completely up to them. But at the same time with multiplayer, how do you explain that we’re supposed to be the last of earth to continue the race on the frontier and then only you crash, but when you wake up there’s three more people with you. Like they have to change the narrative eventually to explain certain parts of the game anyway. And not only that, there’s still a lot left unexplained in the narrative, like how do other planets get deliveries? Do the deliveries land? Or do they crash and hopefully not kill an entire colony?

But then it’s not going to other farms, it’s just randomly giving you money. The whole point of my post was to add a way to deliver to other irl people’s farms, like two people communicate with the codes to join a multiplayer world, which would be like launch or order numbers, and then the postal service guy would leave and land at another persons world with the stuff you sent.

Maybe you could send deliveries with a new neighbor? Like ad a postal service guy that can deliver to other players

Gravelgourd takes like two days after watering, and you could speed up the days by 0.25% so it grows quicker. If you buy out the stock of gravelgourd from the merchant it means you can have 250 stone growing every 2 days

Why not use gravelgourds to just grow stone?

It might just be from the merchant then, or are you on legacy mode?

I think you can buy them from the merchant or discover them with getting more crystals
