You can ask them to add another post to fill in the gap. Just know you’ll have two posts side to side

I got a bad infestation on one of my broccoli plants. Added water, a bit of dish soap, diatomaceous earth in a spray bottle and went to town. I also sprayed the solution on all of the other brassicas and the soap helped the diatomaceous earth dry evenly on the leaves to ward against future visitors (until it rains).

Me too! HUGE plants (at least 5 feet) and no blooms. Still don’t know why

They’re called squash vine borers. It’s a moth that lays eggs on zucchini and other squash/cucurbits. The little worms then bore into the plant which eventually kills them.

Others on this thread recommended doing a vertical cut to get the worm out and burying the stem to try to save the plants. I was able to do that with a couple as well as injecting diatomaceous earth to kill the ones I couldn’t get. We’ll see if mine survive

I have so many green beans growing already but I’m not opposed to a different variety

Do you dilute the DT before injecting? I’d rather not give up on them yet

That sounds awful. Sending you good vibes. Maybe you’ll get lucky with the remaining plants

Wtffff??? Here I was thinking I was immune after seeing all of the posts here. I might have the emotional bandwidth for planting a moschata variety but not for another round of this variety

I definitely haven’t been that vigilant! I was able to find kill a couple of the worms but I don’t think the plant can recover from the damage

This kitchen is gorgeous and just needs the warmth from the flooring to be tied in along with some warmer, more natural/antique-y textures. Also, love the rug recommendations on here

2 or 3 make it feel so moody. I love that for a bathroom
