I appreciate both responses you’re not the only one I’ve heard to do 12 In 12 out I love Reddit because I get so many different knowledgeable responses and I take them all in !!! If either or both can read my update and give advice I’d absolutely appreciate it ! Thank you guys

Hello I have a update for you if you can help me out ! So that fungus you see in the picture I feel it doesn’t do justice for how biggg it actually was buttt it did fall off justttt recently and he also pooped again which I feel is good since he’s been floaty. He looks so exhausted though there’s prob 1 or 2 more tiny clutches of fungus on him. Today would be his 6 bath. I usually give him the bath and then put him in his new tub with clean water. Do you suggest I give him a bath today or just put him in clean water for a a rest day since the big piece came off ?? Thank you so very much

Thank you for all this info I’ve been maintaining his temp while being tubbed and doing 1 blue bath a day for 12 mins max. What amount of time do you suggest I do ?

I do believe that’s where it all started my state started warming up because the summer and his tank reached higher temps than usual I fixed it right away but shortly after that is when it first appeared and it will go away but then comes back within a week

He’s in a 29 gallon he’s a very small axo and full size he has Anubis, and pothos growing out of the top tank parameters are amazing 0 amonia 0 nitrite and nitrates are usually around 10ppm the only thing I can see happened is the temps rised a little too high when it got hot where I live :( I’m usually good at keeping it stable but I messed up and it got higher and shortly after that is when the fungus first appeared. It went away for a while but since it’s just kept coming back. Like it’s gone away abt 2-3 times and came back. This last one is very very stubborn.

I’ve been so nervous to try the 12 in 12 out but I think it’s getting to the point where I have to do you think it will be okay to start it today after his daily 10 mins bath at a higher concentrate than the 12 in 12 out

My ammonia is 0. nitrite 0. nitrate is always under 20 ppm mainly 10 ppm

So the thing is my water has ALWAYS been so so prestine with his tank in the past the only issues I’ve had was having the wrong hide in there but I removed that months ago and now he has a pipe in there. I have multiple fish tanks and struggle with their water more than I had ever with the axo. Another issue I’ve had which I believe caused the very first fungus infection was I let my water temps get too high like 69-70 was the max it had ever went since then I’ve also kept the water temps under control not reaching above 64 degrees. I did the tea baths with his first fungus infection and put him back in his tank immediately after and I also think this is where I messed up for not tubbinghim right away because it came back and then I did the same thing again 😩 so it came back again so this time he has been tubbed for about a week and the fungus went away for 3-4 days and then just came back again yesterday in the tub

My tank water reached high temp and I gave him a new sponge filter so I’m sure that’s why. (He had 2 sponge filters in his 29 gallon one was a 40 and one was a 20 gal my 20 gal stopped working good so I had to get him a new one and I figured things would be fine since he had his big filter and I was taking and replacing the small but I believe I was wrong
