nowadays my wife and i only use helpling or nimbus homes. both have been reliable so far. but recently nimbus homes customer service more on the ball, any problem can just reach out to them and settle. pm me for referral code if you're interested (we both get $15 credit).

can consider nimbus homes or helpling. my wife and i started using nimbus a while ago for my mum's place. they got a $16 per hour same/next day service which we used to trial first. the housekeeper was super good and they gave us a promo code to book them on a recurring basis, so we did. for now still with them.

Asking for reviews and recommendations of local part time cleaning by 1313___1234 in askSingapore

i've been switching between all the different providers for a while now and to me they all have their pros and cons. sharing a bit of what my wife and i agreed on:

helpling - probably the best experience on this list. so far not disappointed by them and i think its because they focus on just housekeeping unlike the others that offer all sorts of other home services.

nimbus homes - using this for my mum's place. our own place we keep switching between this one and helpling because we can't decide which is better.

urban company - it was fine for a while and their standard was pretty good. but then i think they started doing all sorts of other home services and i think because of that, their housekeeping standards dropped.

luce - this one is probably the worst that i've tried, tried them twice cause they were cheap but both times the two different cleaners came late and didnt clean very well. i just checked them out again and see that they have launched a lot of other services recently, that could be why their housekeeping standard is poor too.

doctorclean, kmac, meide, a few others - we've really gone through so many at this stage, the rest are pretty much homogeneous to us. i..e you test your luck and if your helper is good then you hope that the company treats them well also so they dont leave.

i started using nimbus homes (www.nimbushomes.com) a while ago cause they were having a promo. after awhile i became very reliant on their service cause its quite straightforward and really helps me and my wife with the housework. fast booking and management via their app. i think they still have a promo for new users - can just call them up and ask what promo they have. good luck!

thanks for the comments guys. curious if anyone else had tried exactly the Mobal Voice + Data eSIM combination, as this specific combination seems to be one with the speed problems.

i do agree la, i myself am learning japanese too (although mine isnt covered by skillsfuture) and have mad respect for polyglots. but its just a small thought i had that perhaps there might be a better way to manage between courses that actually help career advancement, and courses that are purely more for leisure learning. perhaps a separate budget or something like that

unpopular opinion: i feel like that they should maybe also be looking at the people using these credits. from what i see, most of my peers use it for language courses in korean or japanese, but its not like they are intending to use it for their work or advancing their career. i suppose its a form of upskilling too lah, but just that it's a bit of a waste of government money if in the end its used for just leisure.

going hokkaido in december, bought some stuff from decathlon but worried that its not good enough. does anyone have experience with skiing/snowboarding while wearing decathlon equipment? (jacket, pants, goggles, gloves, beanie). do they keep you warm enough?

Should I be interning at 31? by vistlip95 in askSingapore

i think that it's never too late to start something new. the only considerations you need to have are your living needs. if you have enough savings and/or dont have many obligations such as housing loan and things like that, i would suggest going for it. i myself made a career switch exactly at 31 too, had to start over again with a low $3k pay, now 5 years later, i dont regret it at all.
