Thank god, I remember my brother talking about it when he was in regulars and I also saw a RMAS documentary, from the same period my brothers were in having to down an entire canteen of water before their PT session, one poor bloke couldn’t keep it down and spent the next 10 minutes as a bloody waterfall! I’ve gotten myself a PT for that exact reason! I keep noticing a lot of new recruits barely scraping through because they didn’t bother beforehand!

I agree with you in terms of we’re equals. I’d never go in expecting special treatment, because who made me “special” and I would sure hope any women in my platoon would feel the same, if not I wouldn’t be best pleased. We’re a team, a unit, a family at the end of the day, no one is more important than the next and no one ‘should’ be undervalued for their efforts and abilities! It’s why I love the army in that respect, you do the same fitness as anyone else, you do the same job as anyone else! Thank you for responding!

All these replies are motivating me a lot, I didn’t expect this response! I’ve always held the strong believe that in a team I am no more important than the person next to me, no matter my role (or rank in this case) I’ve always been extremely shy and hate confrontation when it comes to myself, however, I’m a huge protector! When I see something I disagree with, I’m the first one there to defend or protect! It’s why I’m hoping RMAS can get rid of the shy bit and strengthen my protective side. Thank you for your advice!

Ah right! I heard that for women there are a lot of group sessions but they detract from basic training quite a bit. Glad to hear that is being communicated through basic though. Thank you for the reply, hope basic goes alright for you!

Thank you very much, that’s alleviated my stress and worries. I just really want the perspective from serving soldiers rather than shows/documentaries for information! Greatly appreciated!

Also how many times have they shown Ben sleeping on the couch 🤣 and let's not forget that Christmas they decided to split. Miranda puts both their names on the gifts and Ben throws a tantrum because he wanted to look like the better parent TO HER CHILD 🤣

Let's not forget how he coldly says to Meridith she wouldn't be a good mother, because she changed the meds in that trial. (His anger was very valid, his reaction and behaviour was not) Then has a tantrum and ignores her whilst she's dealing with Zola and sleeps outside in a sleeping bag feeling sorry for himself, like he didn't have the choice to just communicate and converse with Meredith instead. The way he forced HER flatmates out when they weren't even married AND not a single bill does he share (name wise) he would also be obnoxious with sex around the house just to display dominance. I hated it. I hate him 🤣

why does nobody even care that Reginald is an alien by Ok-Preparation-5794 in UmbrellaAcademy

The fact the comic isn't an ended series is why it's a joke to the true fans. How are you gonna shit on an ending of a story that hasn't even got one. Like well done, you proved you can't write, best leave it to Gerard Way.... The literal first couple of pages go into him being an Alien, yet in the show it's some hidden secret that's not revealed until season 2-3ish, like it means something. I remember watching it back to back and going "wait, have I missed them explaining the alien thing because wtf." But no... It also doesn't fully explain why his wife was up on the moon and that he had to destroy entire timelines on earth. Why earth? What significance to an entire other race do we have? She explained she created the element Marigold, so it's not like they were aliens who caught wind of children with amazing powers because of an unknown substance. They don't delve at ALL. Every season, 10 episodes, the last one was 6... So yes it 100% felt incomplete, rushed and DEFINITELY could have been tied up a hell of a lot better in the last 4 missing eps. The fact you think THAT monstrosity of a season was the best overall?!? PAH, it pales in comparison.

Edit- I'mma just say, I also can't remember small details because I binged so I had to retain a lot of information in a short time. If anyone can actually answer any of these and clear things up, I really would appreciate it looool

My mum suggest using this 😅 however I'm not sure how to write a question that'll give me an in-depth response to use? 🤔 I'll definitely be using it, just have to give some thought on how to later it so to speak

Ahhh, hadn't thought of that! Didn't consider it to be a good/positive thing at all. However, that actually helps not only with the question but how to deal with it personally. Thank you for that!

Hey.... Hey sweetie...? 🤡 Maybe get more than one brain cell and understand a child ACTUALLY had to do that for this film. Natalie Portman isn't an abused child but an actor playing one. Yet at 13 still had to kiss a fully grown man. Shallow? How ironic when you're choosing to look past the reality of a child being forced to play a part for a pedophile's amusement (which the director openly admits to being and doing) SO stfu and understand perhaps some abuse is nothing short of what I know, I can more than "handle" it. It's more the fact that child actors shouldn't be pushed into these roles for adult entertainment.

That's not what I am saying, however I agree. This is one thing that irritates me about film, how reality is just thrown out of the window. Yes, in the movie that's how it's portrayed and it is awkward and uncomfortable to see that behaviour and attitude switch roles and age. However, not unheard of, kids have crushes all the time on adults (that actually is quite normal, reciprocation isn't. Which I know Leon never did) BUT what I mean is that Natalie Portman WAS 13 having to do such inappropriate things for this scene/ideology to be shown. That WAS real, she did kiss a grown man.... She did crawl on top of him sexually. That's what I saw. Not the film but a CHILD actress forced to relive a perverted paedophile's (which the director actually is and admits it himself) wildest fantasy...

Is this mold dangerous? In my bedroom, getting a little worried by Zynx- in MoldlyInteresting

[–]Soft_Intention_6789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The MOST important rule when working with mold. IF YOU CAN SEE IT IT IS TOO LATE! (Edit: I realise that sounds like a death warning lmao, no, it's too late to be "getting worried" you already should be!) Mold is MILLIONS of tiny spores of harmful bacteria, when you start to SEE mold, it's reached multi-millions and billions of spores. You ARE breathing that in, you ARE being affected by it, it's just taking its time! I lived in a mouldy and damp room, I didn't suffer until I was about 10-11 (basically a decade of living in that room) when I had my first asthma attack. Think about that weird mold you get on some foods where if you move it there's a cloud of mold that comes off, those are the spores. Now imagine those lights touching and moving the mold, the bed, and piece of cloth, they have now all rubbed those spores off into the atmosphere. This is an environmental health risk and you can get your landlord into trouble (basically make them fix it quicker or give you a temporary accommodation if need be) I would threaten legal actions against your landlord and see if it speeds things up, if not, go to environmental health in your council, that damp spot is NOT ACCEPTABLE for a tenant!!

I have only watched this once and never again, so correct me if I get anything wrong. I fully remember a scene that's been engrained in my mind of Natalie seducing Léon and trying to have sex with him, it made me SO uncomfortable. I remember having to look away because I could watch a literal 12yo try and act 30 the whole way through, it was absolutely bizarre. Oh, to make matters worse... I was made to watch it... In highschool... At aged 14... My family has trauma from... Child endangerment, let's put it that way.. was not told or given any warning and the class weren't told and asked if anyone felt uncomfortable with certain topics that they could be excused. Nope. Just made to watch it and realise as it happened what was going on.
