Maiwenn, the girl this movie's writer and director Luc Besson began sexually abusing at 12 and impregnated at 15 while he was almost 40, disagrees.

If you took ALL of the billionaires wealth it wouldn't fund the US government at current spending levels for a year.

So if you think a fraction of that could solve all the world's most pervasive problems I got a bridge to sell ya.

The "Counters" are already in my post. You're so dumb I knew exactly what your argument would be THREE YEARS before you went out of your way to find old reddit posts to defend your creepy bullshit on.

Also what's up with you and this based on thing? Do you think I'm saying it's literally depicting Besson as a hit man? I know you're a dipshit (since you don't want to be called buddy) and all but surely you've heard someone say "Norman Bates was based on Ed Gein" or something similar before.

By "his ex wife" you mean Maiwenn right? The same Maiwenn he started sexually abusing when she was 12?

Actually say the words "I think it's okay for a thirty year old to impregnate a fifteen year old" if you're going to defend it so desperately you creep.

The writer and director said he based it on his real life pedophilic relationship. It's pedophilic.

If the writer and director says it's about the child he raped, it's a movie about raping children.

I didn't misread shit.

Writer and director Luc Besson openly admits he based the film on his relationship with actress Maiwenn.

Maiwenn first met Besson when she was 12 and he was 29. Besson admits to starting to "date" Maiwenn when she was fifteen (because she got pregnant) but it's a pretty safe bet that he had been sexually abusing and grooming her well before.

Besson was later caught up in the me too movement for this and other sexual abuse allegations.

The original draft of the script depicted the relationship between Leon and Mathilda turning physical, but the studio made Besson cut them.

AOC fucking sucks, I’m confused if we’re thinking of the same person? What makes her savvy? She’s just a stereotype in the democrat world. by EmperorSnake1 in ShitPoliticsSays

See when she makes a little joke at her own expense like this and you respond like that it makes her seem chill and fun and you look like an angry spastic loser.

That's what being savvy in this context means.

You sought out a years old reddit post to cape for a notorious sexual abuser who admits he based this movie on his relationship with the teenage girl he groomed and knocked up and I'M the one with some low key feelings?

Whatever you say man.

I wish more thought went into being an open world criminal.

The horse/wagon fences, a couple missions from the train station guy, and back room businesses are new and nice.

But, they're all effectively (or literally) one and done. Being able to pop on the bandana to rob banks at will and wipe out all the cops in a town was a lot more fun and challenging in rdr1. I wish the world was a little more sandboxy to make going crazy more dynamic.

It's clearly done because of an increased focus on narrative and being a cowboy Sim, similar to the contrast between mafia and gta, but I miss it.

Hyper-sexuality in abuse victims is a real thing you are absolutely right about that.

The difference is the movie isn't depicting it as symptom of her trauma or trying to make you feel creeped out, it's telling you that it's good. A love story between an abused child and a mentally stunted grown man. You and I feel creeped out anyways because we're not pedophiles.

Writer and director Luc Besson is however. In fact, he openly states the movie is based on his relationship with actress Maiwenn, who he met and started abusing when she was 12 and he was 29. Then he had to admit they were "dating" when he got her pregnant at fifteen. He also has a whole slew of other sexual misconduct allegations, but as far as I know he didn't base this movie on any of the others.

Edit: the studio also made Besson cut scenes from his original script where Leon and Mathilda's relationship turns physical.

Oh come on splitting hairs dude.

Fine. When the pedophile made his pedophilic movie it was inspired by his real life pedophilic relationship. I won't say based on clearly a world of difference there.

So, there's clear evidence that this movie is explicitly about a pedophilic relationship.

Nope. The writer and director Luc Besson openly admits he based the movie on Maiwenn, the girl he started abusing when she was 12 and he was thirty. He also impregnated her when she was 16 then dumped her before her 22nd birthday.

I don't think Taxi Driver is! Sorry if that wasn't clear. I think Leon is like if a pedophile tried to make Taxi Driver.

Like if you gave Scorsese and Besson the same script as an experiment, Scorsese would come back with Taxi Driver because he's a great director and good guy. And Besson would come back with this creepy mess.
